ivan
honestly, they all seem about equal to asking a voodoo witch doctor - the bankable forecasts all need to be 48-72 hrs out it seems - it is rather preferable in these parts to approach all climbs with either the alpinist's mentality of bugging out at the first sign of nasty storms or the rastafarian's approach of bringing sufficient bivy gear and herbal supplements to weather a blow in style
DirtyHarry
I've got mad style when it comes to weathering a blow.

jmace
like most thngs in life..you got to pay for it..most forecasters know more than what they can fit in two lines of text below an icon. If your amped to go somewhere thats my suggestion. But rule of thumb, 3-5 days in winter and 5-7 days in summer for reliable forecasts. This is what I would read if I was interested in finding a pattern for about a week in advance. http://www.atmos.washington.edu/data/disc_report.html
Blake
NAtional weather service (part of the NOAA) seattle-based "mountain weather" forecasts. http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/sew/forecast03.php although last august i did end up in a little blizzard on their "20% chance of precipitation" day. :-)
