Dru Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 I read somewhere that about 2/3 of the US House of Representatives have never travelled outside the USA. They'd be the ones without passports. Quote
foraker Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 They probably hadn't travelled outside their home states until required to move to DC. Quote
cj001f Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 Dont get the whole passport problem, who the F*** doesnt have a passport....? Currently less than 23% of the US has a passport. Quote

Naw, I think I'll get a cup of coffee instead. Quote
cj001f Posted January 24, 2006 Posted January 24, 2006 Don't they get some sort of diplomatic pass that lets them through? Official/Diplomatic passports are available to any governmental employee with need who files a standard passport application for one. Diplotmatic/Official just get a special immigration line (usually shorter) in most countries. And in the experience of friends, snider immigration officials. Uselessly all US citizens can apply for a 2nd passport http://iraq.usembassy.gov/iraq/second_passports.html Quote

David Trippett Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 I hear the State Dept website has been swamped all day by Canadians trying to find out how they can immigrate to the US Quote

Dru Posted January 25, 2006 Posted January 25, 2006 Trades usually exchange objects of similar value. We would take Muffy, though. Being from Eugene, she probably counts as conservative by the Canadian definition. I was listening to a Candian talk show host interview an American talk show host today. Imagine the horror as our "conservative" tried to explain to your "conservative" that up here, as a libertarian, he did not oppose gay marriage. Quote
