Well, I think it's too bad Fairweather has decided to stop posting. He and I don't have but a handful of things we agree on, but I always read his posts, and have enjoyed any TR's he's contributed.

 

I don't think it's accurate to say that Gotterdamerung, Caveman, or Dwayner have had their names drug through the mud. Aside from periodic calls for Dwayner's reinstatement, they don't come up in conversation much.

 

If there's some significant agenda going on here, I must not have gotten the memo. The only one I'm aware of is wanting to increase the numbers of TR's from folks climbing things across the spectrum, and that seems to have been ocurring over the last year. I've also wanted to see some thoughtful discussion of ethics and style, and while I think we've seen some of that over the last year, I know others may not agree with my interpretation of events.

ditto- i think i'm pretty high on the list of people FW didn't like here but i enjoyed his posts. he and i certainly come from opposite views. h/e, i always read his posts b/c they were mostly reasonable and well-thought.
