dbb Posted October 18, 2005 Posted October 18, 2005 did they fix the screen cracking problem? $200 seems like a rather steep price for 1-2 weeks worth of usage... Quote

darstog Posted October 18, 2005 Author Posted October 18, 2005 Cobra, I got the Nano so I can listen to tunes while I ride my (13 year-old) bike to work. And I have a 3 year-old daughter. Feel like an ass? There being no thread yet on the Nano, I started one so that people could post/read about experiences with this little piece of technology. I've had mine for about 3 weeks now and really love it. It's the weight of a normal biner, fits into super-small pockets, and (based on my limited experience) is worth the money. 2 gigs worth of music is actually a lot of tunes, so I'm pretty stoked on it. The thing I'm most worried about is losing it. Thanks for the spray. Chris Quote
Cobra_Commander Posted October 18, 2005 Posted October 18, 2005 Haha! I wasn't insulting you at all, I just thought it was a funny picture I just found on the web. I wasn't suggesting you have one of those vehicles. I actually have an iPod too and like it a lot. I do want that picture as a sticker for my bike though. Quote

layton Posted October 18, 2005 Posted October 18, 2005 i think i crushed a 6 year old with my truck this morning. i'm not sure, i was too busy rubbing one out to photos of migrant farm workers being whipped by their white overlords. Quote
darstog Posted October 18, 2005 Author Posted October 18, 2005 All good. And I am sensitive. My nano may not be as big as your ipod, but it's all about how I swing it, not about size. Quote

StickBoy Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 I just recently bought a new mp3 player. I was going to get a nano, but then a tech nerdy friend of mine pointed me in this dirrection. http://us.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=213&subcategory=1&product=9771 It's tiny, it holds 1 gig of music which to me is enough unless your using it to store music, and you can get it for a good price on Amazon. It also gets FM radio, it does voice recording and it even stores pictures and data files so you can just take your climbing pics stored on your MuVo to a friends house and plug it right into the computer. Just my 2 cents. -Mike Quote
mikebell Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 Nano rocks Our whole team at work got them as a ship gift. Check out the newest iPod http://gprime.net/video.php/ipodflea Quote
JoshK Posted October 19, 2005 Posted October 19, 2005 I got one of the nanos and the size and looks are awesome. If you are going for style points, it kicks ass, but otherwise it is overpriced compared to competing non-apple MP3 players. For thsoe that didn't see, the new version of the full size iPods is coming out in a couple of weeks. They will be thinner then their old counterparts and still available in 30gb and 60gb. The LCD has also been increased to a reasonable size. Quote
