This course is designed to teach the student all the basics to climb an average sized tree where the first branch is no higher than 50 feet. You will learn Doubled Rope Technique (DRT), hazard identification, tree entry, knot craft, shout calls, different types of gear, canopy movement, and team climbing. After satisfactorily completing a written exam and climbing test, students will earn a TCI certificate. Finish this course on Friday and be ready to practice your new skills with other students and experienced climbers during the weekend Rendezvous.
