archenemy Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 If that were true, then human shit would work. Especially if that person were on the Atkins diet and in ketosis. Lion shit is bullshit. Quote
specialed Posted July 15, 2005 Author Posted July 15, 2005 An old bad-ass Alaska hunting guide told me wolf urine works to keep grizzlies away. Quote
mec Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 Next time I am in alaska running away from grizzlies, I will be sure to capture a wolf and have it pee in a cup to keep the gizzlies away Quote
specialed Posted July 15, 2005 Author Posted July 15, 2005 You just have to make sweet promises to the wolf that you'll make it part owner in the offshore Beastiality Pharm. You can actually buy wolf urine from wolf farms, apparently its pretty expensive though. But the idea is to use it prophalactically on the perimeter of your hunting camp. Quote
catbirdseat Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 A dog will keep away the deer, but you obviously got to keep it outside. Then you gotta have a fence... etc., etc. Quote
selkirk Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 Yes but dogs may very well be cougar and/or bear snacks. Quote
Dru Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 If that were true, then human shit would work. Especially if that person were on the Atkins diet and in ketosis. Lion shit is bullshit. it would only work if you ate an all-meat diet for a couple weeks... Quote
archenemy Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 Atkins. And your body goes into ketosis w/o a meat only diet. People in ketosis have a very distinct, "sweet" smell. I am sure this is facinating reading. Quote
Dru Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 Atkins isn't all-meat. Its just low-carb. Cheese and butter aren't going to give you that carnivore reek. The other difference would be that chunks of hide (hair) and bone are missing from the human diet. I suppose you could add hair to your diet if you swallowed more. Quote
archenemy Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 This is not req'd for ketosis, which is the smell that animals recognize. Quote
Dru Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 I think they recognize ketones.. not ketosis, which is a condition. And theres more than one ketone. CBS can tell you more. Quote
Alex Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 Great...any recomendations Where the fuck do you live? Out here we build fences and shit to keep the deer out though. where do you live? last i knew it was capitol hill, didnt know there were herds of deer running around there Quote
specialed Posted July 15, 2005 Author Posted July 15, 2005 HA HA. I live in the country now. But its beginning to look more and more like the suburbs Quote
archenemy Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 ketosis is the condition related to having an imbalance of ketones in your system. They are elevated in blood and urine. Too many ketones ---> ketosis. Ketones are just the acidic polar compounds that get burned. (I used to work for a company that produced instruments for spectroscopy and so I got to learn just a little bit about these ketone dudes). You are right that there are different types, but the ones that would warn animals of a meat-eater would be approximatly the same among species. I am just posting this information b/c I want as many people as possible to go outside and piss in their yards right now. Quote
forrest_m Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 no deer on capital hill, but the raccoons are an unstoppable army. no fence can keep those bastards out of your garden! Quote

Dru Posted July 15, 2005 Posted July 15, 2005 Swallow what? Is a white swallow the opposite of a dry heave? Quote
