underworld Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 Luckily Boulder has at least 6 other gear shops to choose from then why are you bitching? or, should i say, why did you even go there? Quote
Dechristo Posted December 15, 2006 Posted December 15, 2006 Luckily Boulder has at least 6 other gear shops to choose from.............. Neptune Mountaineering is a fine shop with an excellent variety of climbing/skiing goods in stock and on display for your groping pleasure. Quote
bcollins Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 I still go there for the cheap soft goods now and then....... Neptune actually didn't have a decent selection either, they're least expensive boot was $220. Just like in the Seattle area, cross country skiing hasn't grown much in popularity over the last 10 yrs. Quote
ketch Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 Hey!!! I have a marshmallow rifle. Those thngs are really important to have. Especially when there's lots of cars near your campsite that attackers can hide behind. Quote
lizard_brain Posted December 16, 2006 Posted December 16, 2006 Not a fan of OR? ...fyi, they have gotten alot better and guarantee their products for life. They have a shop in S. Seattle and replace or repair any OR thing you have.... Yeah except the last time I went in (a seam blew on one of my fleece/schoeller jackets) I was told I could pick a new one, which was a new style I did not like and only in bright red. When I said I would just like the old one fixed they said it would be 3-4 MONTHS because they only had one guy sewing stuff for the entire U.S. I thought that was weak. I just took my old jacket home with me. Now I have one side that has a breast and hand pocket and the other has one big ass long pocket. Whatever. Still good stuff. Kyle OR seems to have good designs but poor quality, especially in the seams. (In my opinion.) <--Disclaimer. Quote
