John Frieh Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 Nice try but that doesn't fit the stereotype d00d! My understanding was that you and the turds claimed that I only report gear found on hard routes that I want to chestbeat about... not that I was a neutrino biner junkie... right? Or did you turds change it again? And while we're on the subject: am I still gay? What about Dan H? Anything else? Quote
willstrickland Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 And while we're on the subject: am I still gay? Dunno. Still wearin' them fairy scarves? Quote
Alex Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 whatever happened to the good old days of Dan Larson? Quote

John Frieh Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 And while we're on the subject: am I still gay? Dunno. Still wearin' them fairy scarves? Yes... still rocking the bandana. This means Mos Def is gay too huh? Quote
John Frieh Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 colors are all wrong...right nolse? I don't fish My girl is suppose to teach me this summer and oh yeah... earth tones match my complexion much better... do they have it in burnt chili? Quote
RuMR Posted May 11, 2005 Author Posted May 11, 2005 I'm soooo taking that up this summer!!!! screw climbing... Quote
John Frieh Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 I'm soooo taking that up this summer!!!! screw climbing... When my knees degenerate to a mass of cartilage, bone chunks and torn muscle I plan to take it up also. Then I can post things like: "Found: partially digested fish bait in stomach of world record shark I caught over the weekend with my bare hands. Identify bait type and I will return." Quote
RuMR Posted May 11, 2005 Author Posted May 11, 2005 you forgot to mention how you shaped a NEUTRINO biner into a bitchin' hook! Quote
knelson Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 "Found: partially digested fish bait in stomach of world record shark I caught over the weekend with my bare hands. Identify bait type and I will return." Hey! A "new and improved" NOLSe that can poke fun at himself! And quite well, in my opinion. I bet this version goes over muuuuuuch better around here! And to answer a previous question - yes, you were correct. It was the perceived chestbeating thing, and not a biner fetish that was the issue. -kurt Quote
Dru Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 And while we're on the subject: am I still gay? Dunno. Still wearin' them fairy scarves? Yes... still rocking the bandana. This means Mos Def is gay too huh? after seeing him depict Ford Prefect I'd have to say the answer is "possibly yes" Quote

chucK Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 Speaking of Neutrinos, I was in Nelson's shop the other day and he showed me all sorts of new biners that are better (lighter, bigger gate opening) and cheaper than Neutrinos! Also some that better, but more expensive . Jim Nelson opened my eyes!!! Praise the Lord Too bad I already own a ton of neutrinos Quote
archenemy Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 Actually those are "transparent" jeans That explains the brown stain. Quote
Blake Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 Neutrinos aren't very good biners, compared to what else is there. Omega Pacific Dovals are bigger, same weight, less money, more usefull shape. Trango Lightweight Wiregates are cheaper, larger, and equal weight. Trango superflies are bigger, 6 grams less, and equal $$ CAMP nano-wires are the same size, and 6 grams less, and less $$ WC heliums are bigger, keylocking, 3 grams less, but more $$ DMM Shield is bigger, keylocking, 4 grams less, but more $$ DMM Spectre is bigger, fancy colors, 3 grams less, but more $$$ Moral of the story: Neutrino's aren't especially good compared to the above models, and English made carabiners are fancy, but $$$. Blake Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 Lots of stuff is less spendy at MEC.. i'm betting they still cost a lot more than the Trango Superflies Scott'teryx is selling for $5.95 though. Quote
Dru Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 Spectre $8.75 CDN Neutrino $8.50 CDN DMM LiveWire $7.50 CDN 7.50 CDN is about the same as $5.95 US, no? Quote
Blake Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 Spectre $8.75 CDN Neutrino $8.50 CDN DMM LiveWire $7.50 CDN 7.50 CDN is about the same as $5.95 US, no? About, but the livewire weighs 10 more grams than the neutrino, and 16 more than the superfly. The point here is to compare the lightest carabiners available, and show why the neutrino sucks. Quote
