Bill_Simpkins Posted April 7, 2005 Posted April 7, 2005 Google Map It's pretty cool. I started it over the Sisters Range. You can use the arrows and zoom on the left to navigate. Anyhere in the world I believe. Going over the Cascades is cool. The zoom is limited in some regions and communist counties. Pretty cool! Quote
DirtyHarry Posted April 7, 2005 Posted April 7, 2005 The zoom is limited in communist counties. That sucks. There's some ranges in Canada I would have liked to map. Quote
Thinker Posted April 7, 2005 Posted April 7, 2005 cool site. definitely best for north america. can't zoom in on London or Paris at all. Quote
thelawgoddess Posted April 7, 2005 Posted April 7, 2005 that is kind of cool. if only it would zoom in a few more steps! Quote
willstrickland Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 It gets a little better res than I can get off the free stuff on TerraServer, but still leaves alot to be desired for coverage up here. I had high hopes for this because I use aerial/sat photography on the job all the time. Quote
selkirk Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 that is kind of cool. if only it would zoom in a few more steps! What are you hoping to see with more details than your roof or car? Quote
cman Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 i checked out my house. it is really cool, i am not sure how much use the sat photos really are, except to attract people who think they are cool. Quote
