Jason_Martin Posted October 20, 2004 Posted October 20, 2004 Last year Alex, Gene, Mark, and I all went out to Strobach mountain with these guys from Oregon Public Broadcasting and did a segment for their show on ice climbing. This particular segment is going to be shown on Thursday October 21st at 8:30 p.m. and then repeats on Sunday at 6:30 in the evening. It will be shown on Oregon Public Broadcasting. Eventually it will be shown on KCTS in Seattle, but the guy at OPB didn't know when. Jason Quote
ChrisT Posted October 20, 2004 Posted October 20, 2004 I saw the promo for that show last night while watching "Broadway". I also noticed that they're going to be showing "Touching the Void" in November. Quote

iain Posted October 27, 2004 Posted October 27, 2004 I saw it on Oregon Field Guide. They did a pretty nice job, as usual. Didn't realize you guys are a bunch of sledheads Gotta love an OFG in Washington. I guess it's part of the Oregon Territory Quote
ken4ord Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 Along the same lines Touching the Void Quote
Kevin_Matlock Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 bump Played again this eve... just caught the last few minutes of it. Looked pretty good, wish I caught the whole thing. Just gotta love those 2 year old repeats. Quote
MATT_B Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 I think OPB usual repeats Oregon Field Guide on Sunday. Too bad we don't have more ice here in oregon. Quote
Kevin_Matlock Posted January 5, 2007 Posted January 5, 2007 Hey dude; long time! Good call.... according to the OPB website - this Sun at 2:30am and 6:30pm. I think I'll stick with the latter since I don't have a tivo. Too bad is right. When (if) we get any gorge action, you up for another session? PM me if so. Quote
Alex Posted January 6, 2007 Posted January 6, 2007 I have the thing on VHS, but if anyone gets it in digital form that one could burn on CD, that would be great! Quote

Kevin_Matlock Posted January 8, 2007 Posted January 8, 2007 Alex, I recorded it (tape). Was planning on importing it onto my pc and maybe put it up on youtube. If I get this far I will see if I can make a dvd for you. I'll PM you if it turns out. Quote

Jens Posted January 12, 2007 Posted January 12, 2007 Slightly off topic, but about 15-20? years ago I saw a short feature on TV that had a twosome climbing ice in Leavenworth. I would love to be able to see it again. The focus was "ice climbing in Leavenworth" It isn't the segment that aired with Jim Nelson climbing ice in Leavenworth. This one is much older. Anyone know anything about it? The ice was hugely fat and wide and I don't think it was hubba hubba. Anyone? Quote

sobo Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Thanks, Kevin. Appreciate it. Alex and Jason: Thanks for going in there and doing the shoot. It was nice to see it again, if only on film. God I miss that place... Quote
