catbirdseat Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 Good times eaven with a twisted ankle. Thank you TG and AK. Pictures later. I had a great time. Thanks, Dave, for cooking up the brats for us on Saturday night. We were ravenous when we got back from our climb. Thank you Tim, Jon, AlpineK, TG and anyone else I left out.
Bug Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 I ate and drank all day and all night. Did anyone do any climbing?
geordie Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 Thanks to all who made this happen, especially Kurt, Ken, and TG. It's always good to hang out with this crowd and catch up with old friends.
ken4ord Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 Great times, great weather, and great people, not much more to say about this weekend. Wish I would have gotten a little more rock climbing in, but oh well. Did get up into WA Pass Friday and climbed SW Butt on SEWS, very nice day out. Joined everybody down in 11worth for some beers at the campground. Saturday rode Devil's Gulch, hellish climb (10 miles 3400 ft.), followed by 12 miles of downhill. What a blast. That evening did my part in trying to consume as much TG goodness and brats. I managed to get a little lit that night but I am sure no one noticed. Up early despite my head feeling like it was getting hit with a hammer every step I took. We had quite a sucessful newbie day at Clamshell. (Anyone lose a gray sweatshirt at the crag, PM me?) Ended the day at Sleeping Lady with round of ice creams. Awesome weekend. Shouts out to Kurt, for a putting it together, TG for a most delicous stout, Tex for driving it up (though he arrived tapless ), those who chipped in on the breakfast (I believe most got a burro or two), and everyone who showed up.
EWolfe Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 Had a great time as usual - weather was perfect this year! Good to catch up with friends
Stavrogin Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 sound's like rope up was a good time, i made just past mt vernon and then my car overheated and wouldn't start again , so maybe next year.
catbirdseat Posted October 5, 2004 Posted October 5, 2004 I've heard so many stories of Bellinghamsters and their travails with with cars and transportation in general. Bellingham must be the Bermuda Triangle of automobiles.
catbirdseat Posted October 5, 2004 Posted October 5, 2004 Here are some more Rope Up pics. Mattp on Outer Space Dave Schuldt and dryad on the first pitch of Poultry in Motion (5.8), Clem's Holler, Tumwater Canyon.
