mammut_rep
Does anyone know if there will be an ice fest in Lillooet this year?
icegirl
I sure hope so! Do we need to start drumming up support now?
Dru
I would rather see another informal ice fest like last year than a formal one with clinics and stuff. Except that you seem to get more free swag at the formal ones. Â The big problems seems to be that when you pick the date months in advance it often coincides with a warm spell. With an informal one you can just say "OK it's this weekend, show up" 3 days beforehand and it all works!
glassgowkiss
NO, NO, NO!!!!!!!!we don't need another clown punch fest. go to canmore, even better- go to colorado. "Gathering of the tribes" was fun, no sponsors, no banners, no fucking clinics and no hype! craming 50 people into marble canyon makes me want to trade my gear for a machine gun and some hand granades. ken4ord
Yeah I agree the informal icefest was fun last year. Can't wait to see Dottie again this year.

Dru
Probably early February and you can always find some hungover type to go slumming at Marble Canyon with.

Kate_Scholz
There will be one in 2005, soon to be advertised on the website www.ice-mix.com which doesn't work YET. Dates are set (tentatively) for February 11-13. Â ks
Dru
Kate I think you mean www.ice-mixed.com
Mer
sausages and hamburgers -- these meat metaphores are very apt. The only ice fest I attended, I felt oddly like a slab of meat in a room full of dogs. But the door prizes were so good, I'd show up again
Dru
You do realize that the sausages and hamburgers were at the Bellingham Pub Club right?
Bogen
What are the names of the local couple who took care of the logistics? I told the wife I'ld take her top-roping this year (she had never been!?) but I lost the name and number.
