snoboy Posted August 23, 2004 Posted August 23, 2004 just left squish this weekend cuz of the f-ing rain...this is soooo beat... Rain?? It's not raining here.... I guess it did sprinkle a little on Saturday though... Quote
EWolfe Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 11worth was nice and cool this weekend, with slight cloud-cover! Quote
Alpinfox Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 I heard there was a high probability for preciptiation (of the new route variety) out there on Sunday. Did you notice any sprinkles Mr.E? Ken and I did a lot of non-rock-climbing: Quote
Szyjakowski Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 so did you climb any of those cracks at cable rock in the icicle...they definitely should be resurrected. rudy you whine like a lame bacon beyo0tch. climb in the rain. find an overhanging boulder problem and work it!! Quote
Alpinfox Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 so did you climb any of those cracks at cable rock in the icicle...they definitely should be resurrected. We checked em out a bit. The one that slants up and left looked like a good potential hand crack, but it doesn't look like it has been climbed in many many many years, if at all. Lots of dirt and moss and a few small trees. Tell me what you know about em. Quote
Szyjakowski Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 they all have been climbed...from what i have been told. i think viktor mentioned them in his first icicle(blue) guidebook... however that was printed before i climbed so i do not own it. they look very worthy!! Quote
ken4ord Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 They would probably be pretty fun if they were cleaned up, in there current condition though you'd want some Napalm to get rid of all the dried moss. The cliff is lower angle standing at the bottom, than it looks from the road. Quote
ken4ord Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 you need wirebrushes and goggles. Yeah, I guess that is the climbing bums Napalm. Quote
badvoodoo Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 Wirebrushes and beer goggles. So the jugs look bigger and the approach easier? Quote
Dru Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 With beer goggles on you think you can do any crack Quote
Szyjakowski Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 with beer goggles on you don't realize you are wasting time. Quote
