specialed
Are there any? (besides Mountain Gear and REI)
Greg_W
I heard that Shoreline Mountain Products moved there, recently. That may be their catalog sales and warehouse only, but you could check the website: Shoreline
cj001f
I heard that Shoreline Mountain Products moved there, recently. That may be their catalog sales and warehouse only, but you could check the website: Shoreline It's carefully veiled, but Shoreline's part of Mountain Gear. Same address, same website format, same inventory.
Greg_W
Very interesting. I really had to dig through Mountain Gear's website to confirm this.
MCash
Mountain Goat at 12 West Sprague is the best shop in town. REI on north Monroe Street has some climbing stuff too, but why bother unless you need camping supplies. Mountain Goat is cheaper than Mountain Gear, and the people who work there are more knowledgable (generally).
cj001f
Very interesting. I really had to dig through Mountain Gear's website to confirm this. They hide it very carefully. It's definitely a bummer

PeterM
Is there anything bad about Mgear
MCash
Nope. Their website in particular is excellent. I just prefer the Goat as a local shop, since I live here.
cj001f
Is there anything bad about Mgear You can get stuff cheaper elsewhere? They don't tell you which items are backordered/dropshipped from the manufacturer?
wally
Rei in spokane is sad, they have almost no climbing section. every time I go in there it appears to be smaller than before
mountainninja
The CLIMBER'S mountain shop in Spokane is "Mountain Goat" at 12 W. Sprague.
specialed
Neither MGear nor MountainGoat carry the LaSportiva Trango Extreme S. That's what I was looking for.
gravity_illustrated
http://www.sportiva.com/products/climbing/index.html Then check the dealers page.
