Dave_Schuldt Posted August 5, 2002 Posted August 5, 2002 Since Mattp deserves his 15 minutes of fame as the returning hero I think he should pick the location. Quote
Dwayner Posted August 5, 2002 Posted August 5, 2002 David, David, David!!! You are quickly on your way to becoming the weekly Pube Club CREW SLUT. You are thinking Tuesday beer get-together at 6:53 AM on Monday morning!!! Dude, that is WAY TOO ANXIOUS!!! Listen, my friend, maybe you should pick up a sixer of Mickey's on Sunday night and they will be waiting for you the next morning, tasty and cool in their green, wide-mouthed bottles. After this delicious breakfast, Pube Club anxiety might just subside...at least until noon. Take it from Dwayner....he know! Quote
Dave_Schuldt Posted August 5, 2002 Author Posted August 5, 2002 Thanks Dwayner, but Mickeys makes me sick. Quote
iain Posted August 5, 2002 Posted August 5, 2002 Your mug in the avatar pic window is killing me! you like bend brewery better than deschutes? I usually go there when deschutes is too crowded (when in town) Quote
gapertimmy Posted August 5, 2002 Posted August 5, 2002 bend brewery has far better grubs, and is often less crowded with gapers from seattle. Â i only like deschutes when a quality beer like obsidian or black butte is cask conditioned. the other day i went in and Pils and Mirror Pond were cask and was like WTF? Quote
Dave_Schuldt Posted August 5, 2002 Author Posted August 5, 2002 The Eastlake Zoo is closer to I5 Quote
allison Posted August 6, 2002 Posted August 6, 2002 Bend Brewery is the far superior establishment, and I'm not just saying that to get Tim to reinstall the chatroom. The last time I was at Deschutes it was a notably disappointing experience, despite being in the company of two of my favorite gentlemen at that moment. BBC's chow is better and cheaper. Â For a real treat, don't miss my new favorite place in Bend, the Bendistillery. Those drinks....su-WEET! Â As for tomorrow, nice troll ChucK, trying to get the drinking back over in your 'hood again. Â Seems like it's time to have it over in Ballard-ish again, the Zoo was more recent, can I suggest we try the new and improved Park Pub? I was there last week, and it's a cooler place than it was before, and the food is really yum now. It's still smallish, but not crowded when I was there. Â And for no particular reason, I just want to say this: Quote
bellemontagne Posted August 6, 2002 Posted August 6, 2002 I echo Timm@y and Allison's sentiments about the Bend Brewery. The Deschutes is way overrated! During peak Bachelor season it takes for friggin ever to get a table. I think one time the wait was over an hour and a half! Eventually we smartened up and started going to the Bend Brewery-a wise decision... Â Quote
Matt Posted August 6, 2002 Posted August 6, 2002 What do y'all think about having Pub Club at the Roanoke Tavern in Capitol Hill? Quote
ghost_rider Posted August 6, 2002 Posted August 6, 2002 Hey Ya'll Where's the secret pub club this week? That last one was awesome dudes! Allison yer a babe I'm definately there Quote
allison Posted August 6, 2002 Posted August 6, 2002 I know this is wrong, but I'm going to post so I can do this again: Â Quote

chucK Posted August 6, 2002 Posted August 6, 2002 I think Mattp would like to have it at the Fiddler's Inn. But since we just did one there, he chooses the Duchess instead. That's what he told me. Quote
Dave_Schuldt Posted August 6, 2002 Author Posted August 6, 2002 The Park Pub is fine with me. Like the new little wachamacallits! Quote
mattp Posted August 6, 2002 Posted August 6, 2002 Some time ago, Dan Larson said he'd attend if we went to a pub near his place of work in Montlake. Larson? You out there? The Park, Zoo, Roanoke ... all fine with me. Maybe the Roanoke is within Larson's perimeter. Â [ 08-06-2002, 07:42 AM: Message edited by: mattp ] Quote
Greg_W Posted August 6, 2002 Posted August 6, 2002 Isn't Larson still wearing that tracking ankle bracelet from his parole officer? Just had to make something up as an excuse to post a tribute to an 80's hair-metal band The Scorpions: Quote
chelle Posted August 6, 2002 Posted August 6, 2002 Welcome back Mattp. What's the parking situation at the Roanoke? Â Last I heard the Park Pub didn't appreciate our large crowd at their pub, even though we doubled their normal take for a Tuesday. Also, the service sucked. Unless that's changed I think we should go somewhere else. Â Quote

Matt Posted August 6, 2002 Posted August 6, 2002 Welcome back Mattp! Â I suggest that all ladies who wish to donate bras and undies to the "Mattp-Darrington Trail Restoration Project" should bring them tonight to the Pub Club!!! This could make the best Pub Club ever! Â See attached thread: http://www.cascadeclimbers.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=002701 Â Quote
chelle Posted August 6, 2002 Posted August 6, 2002 If I didn't throw them out, I may have a couple donations that don't fit anymore after my last expedition... Â I think we should make the trail markers gender neutral. Guys bring your old patagucci boxers or tighty whites. Â [ 08-06-2002, 10:19 AM: Message edited by: ehmmic ] Quote
