Alpinfox Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 I thought the 20% off coupon was only good on non-sale items? Quote
Skip_M._Kliphiem Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 The coupon is good for "selected" items, not the entire outlet inventory. There are no ropes included in the selected items. Still, there are some pretty good prices on ropes. Quote

eternalX Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 he's right. i tried another one of the ropes ad got the 20% off. BUT, i just bought that edelweiss, so unless somebody sees a more compelling reason to send it back... Quote
Dr_Crash Posted June 8, 2004 Posted June 8, 2004 Good rope? I need a beginner rope for top-ropping at crags, and don't think that the non-dry is an issue on this one. Should I jump on the deal? Or is 10.5 mm too big by modern standards (I wsas told 10.2). What would you recommend for a rope bag? drC Quote
fenderfour Posted June 8, 2004 Posted June 8, 2004 For toproping almost any rope from a reputable manufacturer will do. The Bluewater ropes are high quality. Don't worry about the dry coating unless you plan on TR'ing in the rain. For a rope bag - I don't use them, but you will probably want one of the tarp type. No need to coil the rope, just flake it on the tarp and roll up. Quote
Dr_Crash Posted June 10, 2004 Posted June 10, 2004 Missed the extra 20% off, I'm backing off Ropes come and go on sale all the time anyway... Quote
