WELCOME TO THE CASCADECLIMBERS.COM FORUMS   02/03/18

We have upgraded to new forum software as of late last year, and it makes everything here so much better!  It is now much easier to do pretty much anything, including write Trip Reports, sell gear, schedule climbing related events, and more. There is a new reputation system that allows for positive contributors to be recognized,  it is possible to tag content with identifiers, drag and drop in images, and it is much easier to embed multimedia content from Youtube, Vimeo, and more.  In all, the site is much more user friendly, bug free, and feature rich!   Whether you're a new user or a grizzled cascadeclimbers.com veteran, we think you'll love the new forums. Enjoy!

Mt. Hood Meadows Loses in Court

Recommended Posts

Hey hey, I'm glad to report we just got a great opinion from the Court of Appeals on the land trade case at Cooper Spur. Its just one step, but its a big one in the direction of preserving Mt. Hood from poor development ideas.

Here's the opinion from the Court of Appeals. Its not he most fascinating read, but its a great decision.

It sure is... but yikes, what a procedural clusterfuck. Even the court sounds confused about how to deal with it. Nice work! bigdrink.gif Did you guys take up the LUBA decision on the ballot measure?

Nope ... let the LUBA decision stand. We've got bigger battles to fight and our chances wouldn't have been super before the Ct. App.

aren't they eyeing land on the south side somewhere now?

I heard rumors about a project in Govt. Camp... anybody know any details?

Good job!! Celebrate, rest, and get ready for the next battle... Judge Haselton's a really good guy, a little quirky, but a good guy. And he's been writing some pretty good decisions lately too. bigdrink.gif
