goslow
I'd also be interested in buying a 0 and a 1, PM me if you're willing to part with yours.
geordie
I've gotten a few e-mails, but only Ryan's throwing a price out in the open. My copies aren't really for sale, but from what I hear there's quite a disconnect between the scarcity of these mags and the amount people are willing to pay. (Here's a hint, $15 doesn't talk, especially for a mag that has a $13 newstand price..)
goslow
I'd pay $46.78 +/- for both of them.
scott_harpell
especially for a mag that has a $13 newstand price..) Â what a rip off! you are all suckers.
cj001f
what a rip off! you are all suckers. Some of us by magazines for more than the pictures.....
scott_harpell
for $13 bucks!?! What do you buy it for then? SO you can brag to all your poser friends that YOU have all howevermany magazines they came out with? So you can be rich when they are a collectors item? I've never seen a mag that wasn't porn that is worth $13 bucks.
cj001f
What do you buy it for then? "articles", you know "reading" - and since I get at least 4x the enjoyment of climbing or R & I it's a bargain. But then I don't wear Carhartt's, so I'm probably a poseur
scott_harpell
I paid $3 for Touching the Void. I still fail to see the deal in $13 for <10 articles. And notice that $15 was seen as a ridiculous offer. $46 was not taken up either must we assume that we are to pay $5 an article for a good magazine? >$50? Pretty expensive for a magazine. If you are really getting it just for the articles, why not download it?
Ryan
Alpinist is an independant magazine, not run by a giant media corporation- their prices are going to be higher. The quality of Alpinist, in my opinion, is very much worth the 13 dollars. So- anyone out there with an Alpinist 0?
cj001f
>$50? Pretty expensive for a magazine. If you are really getting it just for the articles, why not download it? The people asking for >$50 are speculators - notice no one's willing to pay that. As for downloading - you have to be a subscriber, so you only pay $11.50 an issue. Â i'm so glad i bought 5 copies of issue 1. PM me when the price per issue is bid up to $250, 4 will be made available then
geordie
FYI- Alpinist is going to send Issue O to everyone who renews. That should help out those of you interested in a copy...
