fenderfour Posted February 6, 2004 Posted February 6, 2004 Ok, I'm trying here. Let's get more entertaining posts and less political agenda. I get enough of that on the news. Do the same people who post this crap on cc.com inundate coworkers, loved ones, acquaintances, and strangers with the same regurgitated bullshit? Hypothetical situation: two parabolic mirrors, with surface coating are absolutely perfect. They are placed like this: () so that the reflective surfaces of both are touching along their theoretical perfect edges. Let's assume that there is ambient light present, but no source. Let's also assume that there is a way to see in there without actually having anything in there. What do you see? Quote
ScottP Posted February 6, 2004 Posted February 6, 2004 From what angle are you looking? On an unrelated note, what is between the electron shell and the nucleus of of an atom? Quote

I happen to like CBS's posts because the man knows his shit. Maybe you do too. But Lordy, I just don't know what to say anymore. I'm going back to Boldering.com bwahahaha Quote
fenderfour Posted February 6, 2004 Author Posted February 6, 2004 Everyone has to start somewhere. With many years of practice honing my skills, I may be able to be half as cool as Catbird. Until then, I will have to be as cool as I am, which is rather lacking. Quote

iain Posted February 6, 2004 Posted February 6, 2004 I guess if you were hovering at the focus of one mirror and were looking at the other you would see yourself upside down? It's like that silly optical illusion toy of two mirrors, one with a hole cut out to project the focus up. Quote
chucK Posted February 6, 2004 Posted February 6, 2004 I still wanna know if a hermaphodite conceived a child with itself would the offspring be a clone? Quote
iain Posted February 6, 2004 Posted February 6, 2004 and why don't people with small tv's just buy a big parabolic mirror and project it? Quote
bunglehead Posted February 6, 2004 Posted February 6, 2004 And where does the white go when you grind Oreos in a blender? Quote
Dru Posted February 6, 2004 Posted February 6, 2004 I still wanna know if a hermaphodite conceived a child with itself would the offspring be a clone? Only if the hermaphroditism is genetic and not as a result of unseparated fraternal twinning. In the latter case the offspring would have the characteristics of a brother-sister mating - sort of like HRoark. Quote
fenderfour Posted February 6, 2004 Author Posted February 6, 2004 Sure, my post sucked, but it spurred on greatness. Quote

willstrickland Posted February 6, 2004 Posted February 6, 2004 Ok, I'm trying here. Let's get more entertaining posts... I give you a few quotes from previous threads. First up: Dustin B: As far as I can tell, nothing has changed. That's the beauty of this site, you can lose 1, 2, 10, 20 people but there will still be enough people posting topics that interest me. Ban on!! Next up, veggie: quality people really are leaving due to changes they perceive here. Many people have posted that they've also noticed the perceived changes. Of course, my thoughts that less posts will equal less interest is opinion. Next, cj001f: The rather loose behavior requirements of CC have made it one of the busier climbing forums around! Look at any number of the heavier moderated forums -there ain't no life there! and Fairweather: The writing is on the wall, so I leave cc.com and spray...May you all find joy in this more and more politically homogenized place. and Sisu: the spray has been weak for a long time now...Sisu is taking leave of this site. and ScottP Annoyed by the reek of emotional vomit emanating from those who can't find a social life beyond cc.com and therefore mourn the loss of members of the "community"? You aren't alone. Quote

catbirdseat Posted February 6, 2004 Posted February 6, 2004 Seen in Body Results Forum: Quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There are many knee problems for which one would not expect glucosamine to have any effect. Torn ligaments are an example. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Also, glucosamine has not been shown to be effective with pain related to alien embyros that are gestating in one's knee. fenderfour Posted February 6, 2004 Author Posted February 6, 2004 Did you ever see MTV's Liquid Television? They had a cartoon on there called "The Head" it was crappily drawn, along the same lines of Beavis and Butthead. There was a kid with a huge head, really, it was immense. Every time he got really mad or got in trouble, an alien would blast out of his head and kick some ass. Quote
