rayborbon Posted March 21, 2002 Author Posted March 21, 2002 OK I am going to see if he wants to go. As long as I know where it might be as far as city is concerned... Danke Quote
specialed Posted March 21, 2002 Posted March 21, 2002 Beer good. Let's try the Buckaroo Tavern in Wallingford sometime. Quote
chris_w Posted March 21, 2002 Posted March 21, 2002 Buckaroo sounds good to me for the next seattle bar since it will be within walking distance to my new apartment in fremont. Quote
Beck Posted March 21, 2002 Posted March 21, 2002 Let's keep the venue for next week at the Alki as I think it's already been decided- As for the Buckaroo, it's a SMOKEY bar with lotsa bikers and people who pride themselves on their RENAGADE status, might not like a bunch of dirtbag climbers crampin their "local" bar- It's a nice place to drink, but not for big groups like us, me thinks. Figger_Eight Posted March 21, 2002 Posted March 21, 2002 Yeah, the Buckaroo might be a little small for us...especially after seeing the turnout the other night. Quote
allison Posted March 21, 2002 Posted March 21, 2002 So the North End is out the window? I thought we agreed last week to do O nad T and then either the Nick or the Park Pub....? Quote
chris_w Posted March 21, 2002 Posted March 21, 2002 I take back my 2nd for the Buckaroo. I haven't been there so I didn't know it was smokey. I just live close to it and can roll down the hill if I drink too much. Quote
specialed Posted March 21, 2002 Posted March 21, 2002 Buckaroos not that smokey and my experiences with the local "bikers" have been positive. BUt you are right, its too small. Espescially after all those that showed up last week. Quote
AlpineK Posted March 22, 2002 Posted March 22, 2002 Last week we did talk about drinking in north Seattle. The Alki is dam good, but maybe we should save it for next Seattle cycle. I put my vote in for the north end, but lets get some more input. Quote
W Posted March 22, 2002 Posted March 22, 2002 c'mon, AlpineK, just say it- we know you want it to be at Hooters. Quote
icegirl Posted March 22, 2002 Posted March 22, 2002 Park pub or Nickerson has my vote (if I'm still allowed to vote that is) Quote

lizard_brain Posted March 22, 2002 Posted March 22, 2002 Yup. My vote's for North End too....Greenwood or Ballard. What about the 74th Street Ale House? Non-smoking, clean, good food... Quote

But sorry, the club will not convene there. You're on your own.Maybe you can meet Sparky there? Quote
AlpineK Posted March 22, 2002 Posted March 22, 2002 um W I was joking. As I said I'm down with the north end. The Park is good... Quote
icegirl Posted March 22, 2002 Posted March 22, 2002 74th street has very good salads... (yeah, I know, what a chick thing to say, but it's true!) BUT, the pints are not as cheap as at the Park Pub... (unless they've got a Tuesday night special that I don't know about) Quote

icegirl Posted March 22, 2002 Posted March 22, 2002 All this talk of pubbing is making me thirsty... We may have to call a second pub club this week for those local folk with nothing better to do (I guess that is the one problem with talking about next week so far in advance) Quote
