lancegranite Posted October 22, 2003 Posted October 22, 2003 Index so many fine crags, lower town wall, the blues, the country. It's suprising that one of index's most prominent features still is totally unclimbed.. You can see it every time you cross the bridge, plain as day. A modern NW classic, up for grabs. Any ideas? plexus Posted January 9, 2004 Posted January 9, 2004 Mount Erie. I have spent more time there than any other climbing spot. There is quite a bit there that most people don't know about. You could spend a whole weekend on just the Main Wall and never climb the same route twice. My fav used to be Squamish, that was until the border crossing became a test of patience and bladder control. Quote
layton Posted January 9, 2004 Posted January 9, 2004 OMG?!??!?! I cannot believe what I just read?!!!??!!? Quote
Billygoat Posted January 10, 2004 Posted January 10, 2004 Erie is a blast! It has changed a lot since you used to live here Mikey Quote
layton Posted January 10, 2004 Posted January 10, 2004 You mean all the mounties died, it grew some cracks, the rock changed composition, it's no longer east facing, dusty and choked with creepers and bugs, it trippled in size, and the air force base installed quieter engines on its jets? Sweet! Quote
Billygoat Posted January 10, 2004 Posted January 10, 2004 NO NO NO. That hasn't changed a bit. The campground at the base has a bar now with $5 buckets of Pabst and GO-GO girls... Quote
Eerie Posted January 21, 2004 Posted January 21, 2004 I was gonna say Mt. Erie myself but was afraid it might be too trendy of a vote around these parts. I guess not. Quote
