Ursa_Eagle Posted September 29, 2003 Posted September 29, 2003 I'd just like to get a big thanx to the mountaineer group on South Early Winter Spire a week ago. We showed up after them, and they not only let us go in front of them. They were extremely helpful in giving any beta that we asked for, and they let us go in front because they figured they'd be slower. Oh, and for the record (I know this will come as a HUGE surprise to many of you), they weren't wearing polypro over shorts, and they weren't wearing gaiters... Thanx guys! Quote
Dru Posted September 29, 2003 Posted September 29, 2003 no S over P? isnt that one of the 50 essentials? shock horror!!! putting lives at risk! Quote

Ursa_Eagle Posted September 30, 2003 Author Posted September 30, 2003 uh, no. they only mentioned they were mountaineers when the offered to let us go ahead of them, that's how we found out. Get some new stereotypes Quote
alpinechick Posted October 1, 2003 Posted October 1, 2003 I was one of those "Mountaineers" and you're welcome. There are those of us that are nice and we don't follow that "OLD" stereotype. Quote

rbw1966 Posted October 2, 2003 Posted October 2, 2003 The key though is power-walking. If you drive a suby and power walk then you are a mazama--evein if you dont know it yet. Quote
