Just walked up to the thing and FIRED it. shit, I took a leaderfall on cat crack first time I tried it. no joke! blew the onsight!!! My friend took a whipper on that once! Pulled two pieces on the fall and stopped with his ass head level. Cleaning that chock out was hell . I'd say linking up the Smoke Bluff Connection stands out...first time led that many pitches in a row. The pitch above Mosquito scared me at first, I kept looking down at the ground !! Quote
TimL Posted April 29, 2003 Posted April 29, 2003 I'd have to say Stems and Seeds at Vantage or Rutabega at Squamish. Quote

Please refrain from mentioning vantage and Squamish in the same sentance. Unless your point is to draw a distinct contrast between the two. Nevertheless, Rutabega is an awesome climb and a proud on-site. And for Vantage, stems and seeds is a decent crack. Quote
TimL Posted April 29, 2003 Posted April 29, 2003 Yeah, its kinda hard to coun't disaVantage onsites. Speaking of onsites, you should go for Perspective at Nightmare Rock in Squish. Very onsitable for its grade and I thought better than Rutabega. Quote
texplorer Posted April 29, 2003 Posted April 29, 2003 My best : Crux pitch of Moratorium - Partner who was supposed to lead it decided he didn't feel up to it and so I took the sharp end and blasted. Also the last pitch of Prussik's South Face was pretty memorable- fun climbing, great setting, good friends. Almost ran out of pro but remembered my #5 Snafflehound and was able to power up in safety. Quote
lummox Posted April 29, 2003 Posted April 29, 2003 i was pretty stoked back in the day to get crime of the century at squamish. Quote
Dru Posted April 29, 2003 Posted April 29, 2003 that first pitch of rutabega is a slopey bag of liver Quote
texplorer Posted April 29, 2003 Posted April 29, 2003 Me too Lumox. Another great one I had forgot about. Quote

Yeah, Frenchman Coulee is a heap but, Stems and Seeds would be classic even if it was at Squamish. Quote
specialed Posted April 30, 2003 Posted April 30, 2003 Well, Realization at the Ceuse was hard and all, but I found Action Direct much harder. Though some of those gritstone E10s were a bit more scary. Its a tough call but I'd have to say 5.10 mossy choss on Bridge Creek Butt was hardest. Quote
