snoboy Posted March 25, 2003 Posted March 25, 2003 How the hell is this ironic? Cellucci took aim at recent remarks by Liberal MPs including a comment about President George W. Bush made last week by Natural Resources Minister Herb Dhaliwal, who said Bush had "let not only Americans, but the world down by not being a statesman." Cellucci says it's ironic that Ottawa won't do much to control that kind of comment, even though the federal government was critical of the letter he received from Alberta Premier Ralph Klein praising the United States. "When Mr. Klein issues strong support for the United States, the Canadian government comes down hard on him. When Mr. Dhaliwal makes totally inappropriate remarks about the president of the U.S., they kind of ignore it." It sounds totally consistent to me. Source. Quote

On a related note, it should not go unsaid that with a velcro fly, you never have to worry about snagging your wang in your zipper. Righteous! Quote
snoboy Posted March 26, 2003 Author Posted March 26, 2003 This sounds more ironic to me: The president emerged from his semi-seclusion into a new climate of doubt about the war and the way its being waged. "Our coalition is on a steady advance, we're making good progress," said Bush. Bush gave a measured, confident address, but made no effort to hide the fact that expectations for a quick and easy victory have evaporated. Source. Quote
