Distel32 Posted March 5, 2003 Posted March 5, 2003 Leave Seattle at 3pm on Wednesday march 12, then leave bishop whenever it gets too dark to climb on sunday. That means there would be almost four full days of climbing. Can take my car as long as someone goes in on gas, camping preferred and I have a pad but 2 would be much much better. I know it's a little out there because it's not that long of a trip, but it would be pretty damn fun. Quote
Winter Posted March 5, 2003 Posted March 5, 2003 I'm headed south for about 10 days in the beginning of April. I've never been to Bishop and am too lazy to type it into google. I know there's tons of stuff there, but what type of climbing is it mostly? Quote
sexual_chocolate Posted March 5, 2003 Posted March 5, 2003 bouldering, power-style, and sport climbing in owens river gorge. buttermilks is more technical granite. lots o stuff. Quote

Lambone Posted March 5, 2003 Posted March 5, 2003 yeah Bishop is cool, but damn thats a long drive... Quote
Distel32 Posted March 5, 2003 Author Posted March 5, 2003 yeah I know, only seems like a good idea in my head, but it would be a seriously bad ass weekend!!! Quote
PullinFool Posted March 5, 2003 Posted March 5, 2003 I just came from there 2 weeks ago - drove pretty much straight through, and logged at 18 hours. That's a crazy 4-day trip, as you noted... Quote
Distel32 Posted March 5, 2003 Author Posted March 5, 2003 it only takes one other crazy person out there for it to happen!!! Quote
JoshK Posted March 5, 2003 Posted March 5, 2003 I'd rather drive just 10 hours (still bullshit long, I know) and be in banff Quote
erik Posted March 5, 2003 Posted March 5, 2003 josh, cept less likely to see hotties in sport tops in banff right now! to each their own! Quote

Maybe not many in sport tops right now, but many are loaded. And some of them are climbing leashless and leading M8 or better. Ice festival this weekend in Canmore. Quote
