Bronco Posted October 25, 2001 Posted October 25, 2001 And besides Tim - my producivity at work has significantly been impacted by YOUR website! one star for that! Quote

chelle Posted October 25, 2001 Posted October 25, 2001 Hey Jon - I'm not a techie by any means so my question may be more of a browser issue than the upgrade you did last night. I used to use my "back" button to go back to the forums pages and now when I do that it pulls one up from several hours ago instead of the most updated one. Any ideas? I do like the new links to individual pages in posts. I was thinking how useful that would be just yesterday... Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted October 25, 2001 Posted October 25, 2001 You are viewing a cached page. Hit refresh. Then go and update Tools ==> internet options ==> General Tab ==> then setting button ==> Check for newer versions of the page: Every visit to the page. Click all the oks. If you have netscape then format and fdisk the momma [ 10-25-2001: Message edited by: Cpt.Caveman ] Quote
mikeadam Posted October 25, 2001 Posted October 25, 2001 Can I have permission to access the area where "inappropriate posts go to die a peaceful death"? I would like to pay my last respects to "RopeGun Hookers" and many others. Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted October 25, 2001 Posted October 25, 2001 I would like to see some of those old ones too. I don't remember that one but there were some classics for sure Quote
mikeadam Posted October 25, 2001 Posted October 25, 2001 Where is the original ZDFG post? The first CC.com malefactor and "Who Cares" was classic online angst! Quote
Cpt.Caveman Posted October 25, 2001 Posted October 25, 2001 We now have Bonzo to spark things up. I know cuz his real identity was posting here the other day. ZDFG and Z take the cake though hahahahhahahah Quote
chris_w Posted October 25, 2001 Posted October 25, 2001 Cavey - Ditching the netscape. Microsoft has brainwashed you Ehmmic - You are probably getting cached info. Try holding the ctrl key when clicking the refresh button. I have to do that for my company's firewall. Quote
nolanr Posted October 26, 2001 Posted October 26, 2001 Dude, I think all you guys are rating yourselves and giving 5 stars. Quote
nolanr Posted October 26, 2001 Posted October 26, 2001 Oops, I guess you can't vote for yourself, 'cuz I just tried. Gotta bring my score up. Somebody help me out, throw the dog a friggin' bone. Quote

Cpt.Caveman Posted October 26, 2001 Posted October 26, 2001 That's an example of all the chix flocking around. Don't know anything about testes other than I got a pair And thanks for all the low votes. I like to make sure I am annoying all you lurkers You can kiss my Quote
Bronco Posted October 26, 2001 Posted October 26, 2001 Caveman: Your image didn't work, it basically says "loser, you are busted for unauthorized use of image" Quote
chelle Posted October 26, 2001 Posted October 26, 2001 Cavey - thanks for the tip. I ran through the instructions and it was configured that way already. My company is still on IE 5.0 maybe that's the issue... Oh well, I'll just start using the go button, rather than back. Quote
Pencil_Pusher Posted October 26, 2001 Posted October 26, 2001 I found some of my PM's accessible, others were inaccessible. Very funny. I think these graemlins are a pain in the ass. The rating thing is bogus too. I admire your efforts into this website, but my opinion is I prefer the old. Quote

Keep up the good work Jon. Still got a few bugs though.... Quote
Pencil_Pusher Posted October 26, 2001 Posted October 26, 2001 What kind of solution can I give, Jon? Computers and that tech language ain't my gig. It's just PM stuff, I don't really care. I told you I appreciate your efforts. Quote

You must be one of those people who just complain (aka bitch) but fail to offer a solution. I've turned the rating feature off for the time being, it's becoming a distraction and I failed to provide any reason for using it and what criteria should be used. I'd be interested to hear in the other thread if people are interested in having this feature and what the pros and cons may be. As for the old PM's, there is a problem with accessing them and I haven't had time to figure out why. If you want the actual file I'd be more than happy to send it to you just send me a private message, though it is a little garbled with code but readable. I did offer this warning though http://www.cascadeclimbers.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=24&t=000002&p= Party on! [ 10-26-2001: Message edited by: jon ] Quote
