  1. Selling an essentially new pair of Grivel G12 New-Matic crampons for $100. These have never been worn outside and look like it. I can meet in the greater Seattle/Bellevue area and out I-90 a bit. Shipping is an option but I'd add that to the price of the crampons.
  2. Four years ago I thought I was gonna be a mountaineer! I enrolled in the courses, I bought the gear, and I started paying the tuition. Currently, I am in school to be a doctor of physical therapy. Can you guess what happened? I got mega injured and spent so much time in rehab that I decided on a change of life course. Fortunately, all the gear listed here is 100% brand new and never been used. I didn't get injured USING the gear, but I did remove the price tags when I first purchased them- thus, I cannot return them to backcountry.com for a refund. I simply held onto all this stuff hoping that one day I'd use it. But now I lay awake at night thinking about my extravagant student loan debt and not so much about summiting any dang thing in Patagonia. So, you want some of these goodies? Everything is 100% brand new and the prices are simply 50% of what I originally paid for them a couple of years ago. Local pickup in Portland is preferred, but I can maybe drive stuff out to you or ship it also depending on what all is good for everyone involved. Attached is a nice little PDF of some photos, information, and prices about all the gear. I'll keep this list up-to-date as things move. If you see it here, then I have it at my house! Have a great season everyone! Again, prices are listed at 50% of what I paid for them and all items are in the same condition as I received them. The list includes: 1. Black Diamond- Prime Alpine Touring Ski Boot - 27 - Bd Orange $150 2. Salewa Vertical Pro Mountaineering Boot - Men's - size 9 $160 3. Petzl Lynx LL Crampon with Fakir Crampon Bag $105 4. Dynafit TLT Radical ST Binding - 92mm brake $250 5. Garmin eTrex 30 GPS $90 6. Black Diamond / Pieps Sport Avalanche Safety Set (incl. shovel, probe, beacon) $190 7. Grivel G1+ S.A. Ice Axe w/Leash - 66cm $50 8. Suunto MC-2G Navigator Compass $40 Mountain Goods.pdf
  3. Hello guys, I am writing you with regard to the Grivel Tech Machine Carbon. I own a pair of these tools, purchased in Chamonix in 2016 and I have used them for 2 seasons, mostly for ice climbing and very little mixt climbing. The issue which has come to my attention recently is a delamination/bubbling of the carbon wrap on the handle, in 4 areas - please the attached video - https://youtu.be/A-tbiLyG0A0 I have failed to notice that bulging of the carbon fibre outer shell until now, or at least I don't have any recollection of the issue in the past. I must mention that only one of the axes presents this issue, the other one is completely fine. I have always used the tools with great care, without using or hitting them in any other way than intended. My concern is that this delamination might continue to expand and eventually appear on the entire length of the handle. Could you provide some advice/help/insights regarding this issue? Should I be concerned by this issue or it won't affect the ice axe in any way? Thank you for your help, looking forward to hearing back from you. Kind regards, Andrei
  4. Shipping is an additional $7.50 in a flat rate Priority mail box for screws. I accept payment with Paypal. If paying as goods and services please add 3% to the payment total. Let me know if you have any questions. Grivel 12 cm Helix ice screws (6). I used these screws for 1 to 2 seasons depending on the screw. They have seen some use and some have minor dings but all still place well and quickly. These screws are the easiest and fastest of all the brands I have used to place due to the way they cradle the hand. The metal is extremely solid and resists rust better than others as well. 1 of them will not have a tip protector. $25 per screw Black Diamond Express ice screws (2), 16cm. Used but in good shape. $25 per screw
  5. for sale Grivel Rambo crampons (sold)

Grivel Rambo fully ridged crampons. Used. Slightly beat up, but points are still quite sharp. Still in plenty of life to kick up some frozen waterfalls or steep neve. Rubber anti-ball bottoms. Originally retailed for $210 my price: $75
  6. I have a pair of used but in good shape Grivel Rambo 4 crampons. I just put new toe bails on them and they come with new front points. They unfortunately just don't fit my old boots well. One of the anti bots is partially broken but still completely functional. Asking $110 shipped. Also willing to trade for a size large belay parka, size medium ice climbing pant (hardshell or soft shell).
