Yours truly is on the far left in this 2002 post-Whidbey Island Race Week celebration photo. While we only placed 3rd in our class, no one present doubted that we won the post-race party. "Socially Fearless" is our team motto! Note the team jerseys... cute, huh?

I have some friends at the Tacoma Yacht Club who let me crew on their boat from time to time. They used to have an Olson 30, then they traded up to an Express 37. We do pretty well in the Puget Sound races, Whidbey Island Race Week, and up at Snake Island/Nanaimo. While I haven't yet been invited to go with them (yet), they placed really well in several recent Vic-Maui and Trans-Pac races. Check 'em out here.

Yah, I didn't have time to read all the captions first time through, so I just went through the pictures. I have now gone back and see again the pic of him reclining in the candlelight of their dark apartment. I guess I could have also deduced that Alvaro is a masculine name...
