  1. Here's a picture I found of the old lookout on Mt. Hood. Anyone know why I can't import a bitmap?
  2. I'd disagree - if your travelling by yourself you'll meet a ton more interesting people travelling by train & staying in hostels. And the railpasses aren't that good a deal - unless your taking alot of long rail journeys - which is stupid, given the cheap Euro air carriers like Easyjet.com Travelling by train is also MUCH easier if you're going to be spending alot of time in cities. Driving in Italian cities sucks.
  3. heh, will strickland and i went there a few years back!! ruined the whole next day!!! i puked twice on the way to my grandma's weding! Sounds about par for the spaceroom course!
  4. Focused is in PDX Saturday night!
  5. Meth Labs? I thought those were all out in Clackamas & Sandy! If your looking for climbing - Rocky Butte (84 & 205) is close to you - our head out to Broughton's Bluff (84 & the Sandy River) Try Spaceroom (or bog - but worse drinks) on Hawthorne if your into drinks.....
  6. Once you're allowed into the miracle we call "bars" you'll understand young grasshopper.
  7. Yes. Crossbow = Beta
  8. Gracias Roger - The fall winter was an off the cuff mention - I was curious to see if that plan was going to come through. Carl
  9. What part of the binding pulled out of the ski couldn't you read? The whole damn thing - cable, riser & leash was attached to my foot - but that assembly wasn't attached to the ski.
  10. Shove your brodeal up your ass. The last $15 skis I bought the bindings popped out the foam core pieces of shit - and the ski went down the bump run, through the lift house, out the lift line and down the scrup covered hill. Fuck that shit - I'll take a Lou Dawson (Tele Sucks!) Mira review over your recycled manufacturer drivel any day. Does Hattrup let you sniff his jockstrap?
  11. Over at Sierratradingpost you can get a pair of Mira's for $250 (including shipping)
  12. Damn! He won't even come out of the grave for us! I guess corpses are alpine skiers......
  13. Let's leave them out of this... lol
  14. I've yet to see a free-heel jibber ever do a telemark turn in the pipe - what exactly makes them free-heel? The binding. Hmm. I've always defined telemark skiing as a turn. T-Races + Bishops+ Piste Pipes = Alpine.
  15. I've yet to see a free-heel jibber ever do a telemark turn in the pipe - what exactly makes them free-heel?
  16. Off Piste did a review last year http://www.offpistemag.com/themag/hardcopy/op_17_web.pdf Which claimed they weighed the same - but had crappier glide. I've no first hand experience - but packing up smaller would be nice.
  17. Yeah I was looking at them for AT skis - we'll see.
  18. My Mohair's grip better in powder powder (not PNW powder) Nylon's are much more durable on corny crap snow. Rainier - where'd you get the BCA's were low fat? From what I've read & seen they're the same as all the rest?

My understanding was he swiped the tip & tail design but sourced the glue differently. The glue on mine's sweet nonetheless.
  20. It's not a bug, it's a built in weight saving feature! Now you WILL only take the pages you need!
  21. Speaking of light and cheap - anyone every skied the Dynafit Tourlite Rally? http://www.life-link.com/specials.htm
  22. OMC had some cheap(er) Mira's last time I was in there - of the PDX shops, they seem to have the past clearance/closeout pricing.

That's a great quote there Beck. I've found the cowjobs to be as durable as the better of my pairs of purple Ascension's, and signifigantly better than the pair of Kicker Ascension's I got - the glue quality sucked. I also found I liked the glue on the cowjobs better for standard Northwest conditions.

Amen! the Bovine print Ascensions rock!
  25. Ach! Portland Envy rears it's ugly head again! Exploring's where it's at - and I got's to make it down south this winter.
