  1. Not when they're the best!
  2. Yeah - it should be pointed at the fucktard H2 drivers who can't see a bicyclist unless they are dayglo green.
  3. The fat men who wear shorts at work when no one else can. Especially the too tight "sweat shorts"
  4. A place for friends & family to post memories would be a very cool place - both for friends & family, and those who didn't know them.
  5. tangentially spectra sails have better UV resistance than Nylon sails; slings are similar enough.
  6. Ahh Colorado. That Western mindset that bigger is always better. You can have Vail and acres of fun sking with people in Bogners on rather mediocre terrain. It was nice 20 years ago I hear. It's got some nice parts, and parts I'd like to spend more time. Not my cup of tea right now, but still a fun place. The biggest downside to Boulder (and Colorado) are the idiots that think it's the greatest, most special and unique snowflake place on earth. It's not. There are pleny o' places similar.
  7. Aww fuck. A sad day - his photographs made many of my days. Condolences. http://www.carlskoog.com/
  8. And usually the people who are most bitter are those who couldn't cash out.

No, but then I expect judges to act even more independant, not like partisan jerks (cough, Scalia, cough)
  10. Aussie mates were there for a week. 2m of champagne fresh over the course of the week. The locals considered it "normal"
  11. 90+% of our DNA isn't good enough? Define the categories broad enough and everyone's the same INTP whoopee!

Peter- As the Clinton era showed, just because their are highly partisan people prosecuting you doesn't mean you didn't do something wrong.

Arresting legislators to get them to vote on redistricting is notable, yes.
  14. I think Modified Mt. Cook (Kiwi Scheme) is just a number w/+-. The rock grade is sometimes added for clarity. Follows is a brief summary: Grade 1 - Easy scramble. Use of rope generally only for glacier travel. Grade 2 - Steeper trickier sections may need a rope. Grade 3 - Longer steeper sections generally. Use of technical equipment necessary. Ice climbs may require two tools. Grade 4 - Technical climbing. Knowledge of how to place ice and rock gear quickly and efficiently a must. Involves a long day. Grade 5 - Sustained technical climbing. May have vertical sections on ice. Grade 6 - Multiple crux sections. Vertical ice may not have adequate protection. Good mental attitude and solid technique necessary. May require a bivvy on route and be a long way from civilisation. A goodly number of Grade 6's are on the Balfour Face of Mt. Tasman. Here's the Alpinist notes w/pic "Surreal Insomnia" (V WI6+, 600m) is an NZ grade 5 - line 1 http://www.alpinist.com/climbing-notes/note/10071/
  15. Hokkaido in January. Freshiez galore!
  16. The workbook sucks, you just need the textbook, especially if you are already an EMT - new from NSP it's $50. I can probably sell you one in a couple weeks if it's still useful then. As far as I know EMT/OEC/WFR are roughly equivalent in terms of time requirements etc. but not interchangeable because of different care emphasises.
  17. You live at the end of the rainbow?
  18. To combat declining parishes, the Catholic church has created a live action version of the gospel - in the contemporary era! Aboard the raft is Mary Magdalene, in the water is Jesus, and budget cuts have turned it from water to wine to from water to keystone light (he added Vodka!)

    Pernod wine?

Quibble from a lush who likes odd booze. It's a list of things OLCC normally stocks in it's warehouse. Often times restaurants special order booze and OLCC ends up with orphans (see orphans *.pdf) and liquor stores will end up with bottles not listed. Either that or they illegally import it - which is how I was able to get Virginia Gentleman bourbon in PDX. Zinc a NW PDX place that closed (a year ago?) regularly stocked Pernod. They also had big gulp sized Sidecars.

And somebody is sensitive to others feelings. A touching moment. Who'd have thought an evil super villain would be insensitive?

    Pernod wine?

You can purchase things that aren't listed on the OLCC website in Oregon.
