To be fair ladies it is the eastsides turn. I live in Ballard and it would be great to have the club within walking distance of my place all the time, however lots of people involved with the Pub Club live outside of Seattle. They drive in to hang out with us, so it's only fair that we drive to hang out with them. OK You eastsiders get to it. Come up with a location quick before it ends up in Seattle due to your lack of interest.

Close calls rule!

I've used a system like this. 5 tugs on the rope, pause, 5 tugs = off belay Then Take slack out of the rope then 5 tugs = Belay on Belayer above then keeps the rope snug but not tight. For catching a fall you can't see, you need to feel whats going on and act quickly. Sorry I don't have better advice for this. [ 03-11-2002: Message edited by: AlpineK ]

I do knot testing on a regular basis. If I don't want to send a small to medium chunk of wood through someone roof. I'll use a bowline, but if it's a huge log or tree top I like the clove hitch a lot better.
