  1. Yes the busses piss me off. They could easily get rid of 1/2 the marked bus stops; I don't worry about killing the bus though. There are some points on N 40th where you need to be on the street, however you don't have to be on it all the way across town. I don't ride all the time, but when I do I use side streets next to arterials when I can. Plus I know a bunch of people who ride a lot who criticize bikers on narrow arterials.
  2. He wasn't actually in the military. He droped out of ROTC
  3. Tree huggers piss me off
  4. I'll give you this example. N 40th heading up the hill to Wallingford Ave. N. This is a narrow arterial. A number of times I've been driving the chip truck up the street with oncoming traffic and a biker going up the hill. The biker could have easily gone one block north or south and had the a street to themselves, and not lost any time commuting or whatever. I've also seen bikers riding up N 65th to Phinney, which is quite narrow. Riding a few blocks north would give the biker a much less burly hill and virtually no car traffic.
  5. What happens when they coincide, Kurt? They don't. The hidden agenda for righties is to create a ruling class. I hear lots of talk about free markets and ending government regulations from the right, but then I see nepotism like Cheyney's company Haliburton getting an uncontested contract to rebuild Iraq. That doesn't sound very free market. Bill Gates Sr. (no liberal) is against dropping the inheritance tax. He's worried about long term concentration of wealth creating a ruling class. If you righty guys have your way we'll have an emperor not a president.
  6. What's that? Are you AC/DC or something?
  7. I get annoyed at bikers when I see them riding on a narrow arterial when they could be riding on sidestreets 1 block away. However in general Thinker has a seriously crappy attitude about bikers.

    Holy War

No he's just quoting some jackass named Cooper
  9. Whatever, 13,700'. Sorry to get your panties all twisted up. I never said you couldn't climb it. However if you have a limited time the N ridge isn't a good choice this time of year. I've hiked to the base of the route on a hot day only to find the rock at the base coated in ice.
  10. Believe what you want, but the weather in June in the Tetons is just as unsettled as it is here and the N ridge holds ice for a while. The weather in the valley can be great while it isn't the case at 14,000' If you get a good spell the soutside routes might be alright.
  11. In June the routes up high are likely to be out of shape. Definately the N Ridge will be covered in rime ice. There's lots of good stuff on lower peaks and in the canyons as mentioned above.
  12. I've climbed both the N face and the Hourglass in August. Both routes were in good shape, but with the way summers seem to go recently August may be too hot and September would be better.
  13. If you're a big enough business in WA you can set set up your own empolyee workplace insurance and you don't have to pay into Labor and Industries. Wallmart has their own workplace insurance, and they fuck their employees who get hurt on the job. Who pays for this? You do in the long run; cause Wallmart employees eventually end up in the emergency room of your local hospital without any money or insurance to pay for their job related injury. You get what you pay for In my business, if you go for the lowest bid, chances are you're hiring some jackass who doesn't have legal employees and does shitty work. Prices in the middle of the range are truly the best deal

    Canadian Bands

Aldo kind of sums it up about most Canuck music. Niko Case, and Neil Young though
  16. I'm just trying to get you to come to terms with your true feelings. It's ok, were all adults here, you can come clean about your true feelings for GW and all those rugged right wing politicians.
  17. Your butt's going to get even sorer if Hatch has his way.
  18. in a word yes but i still think it is bull shit! You don't need a computer to copy a cd, so they can't get ya there. I might point out that Hatch is a member of the GOP and a hard core righty to boot.
  19. I had no idea Ralph shaves his nut sack, but I guess you know. I bet doesn't shave.
  20. I hear you drop your pants and grab your ankles everytime you see George W on TV.
  21. that may be the cheesiest shit i have seen in a long time... that 'soft' queer voice at the end is the perfect liberal spokesman... jsut needs a little bit more lisp... American values not right wing values I liked that bit. Just cause the man gives you a reach around every time he bones you up the ass FS doesn't mean he loves you.
  22. You can get down the gully with no rope....if your good at snow.
  23. Yeah, I guess. Everyone has at least one hole, and you can always buy a fake penis. You're not very creative Kiwi. You're never going to get Dru in the sack.
  24. Gender really doesn't matter when you're Bi.
  25. Mt Louis and Brewer Buttress are good Fay, N Face is good, but kind of a nutty approach N Face of Athabaska is good and so is the Hourglass route Photo Finish on Andromeda is good. I would not call this route a good first time CR climb unless you're a bit better than a 5.8 climber. Also this route forces you to climb through an hourglass choke point where big rocks fall down regularly, if you take the regular approach. It is a cool route though!
