Is this the Skookum falls in MRNP?

I like a 58 cm axe for mountaineering.

I have both the micro puff and the das. the micro goes everywhere while the das hasn't left the closet. (I am a closet gear whore) The point is, I like and use the micro a lot and worth looking at. You have to ask yourself what conditions do you really want to be and expect to be out in if you are looking at jackets. I wanted to be hardcore and need the das but alas, I am a wanker and do fine with the micropuff.
Same here, the Micropuff is my go to jacket.

It considered not cool to post links to Ebay auctions.

Early winters couloir - couloir between the East faces of North and South Early Winter Spires

I was being cheeky about the trams, but I seriously think huts would be a better solution for popular areas like Boston Basin and Colchuck lake.
-
Ambient Temp was estimated around -80 F.
Is that a typo, or was the air temperature actually 80 degrees below zero?

Are any of the fall alpine ice routes still doable righ now?
I am willing to bet something like the North Face of Mt Maude would be in this weekend.

Do it right; install a tram from the trail head to Colchuck Col. While you are at it install a tram to Boston Basin as well. And a hut.

My weekend plans fell through at the last minute. Anyone want to go climbing? The forecast for Mt Hood looks promising http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/hdfForecast?query=Mt+hood&searchType=WEATHER.
If interested please call 425-392-2054 or email bighurtbob@hotmail.com by 8:00 AM this morning. If I don't hear from anyone I will just go trail running. Again. I am in Issaquah.
Thanks,
Dan

Thanks for the info. I was thinking of trying NE Couloir this weekend but I don't have the guns for M5 anymore. I'll be doing something easier instead.

I am curious about condtions on the north side of Mt Baker. Does anyone know where the snow line currently is and how much new snow is on the glacier? Is floation necessary to get to Colfax right now?
Thanks,
Dan

Thanks for the tips, I will check out the nail puller hammer.

Thanks Jim,
That's weird that they were able to clean one, neither my partner nor I or another party were able to clean them. Thanks for letting me know.

If anyone is heading out to do Godzilla or City park and want to do me a favor you could bring a hammer and retrieve my Stoppers on City Park. They are 3 anodized Black Diamond nuts (red, gold, blue). If you want to keep them that is of course your perogative as well.
Thanks,
Dan

Mt Ruth is dog friendly as well. A corgi and its owners spent the night on top with us.

Hello,
Saturday's weather looks showery but reasonable for a trail run. I am going to run the Melakwa Lake - Pratt Lake loop Saturday morning starting ~8:00AM. I have run this loop before and really enjoyed it. I expect to take around 3:30. Would love some company as my regular running partner can't make it. Please email bighurtbob@hotmail.com if interested.
Thanks,
Dan
