But... but... they're supposed to come in pairs! Disappointing.
-
I might just end up with 30 and 45 Worksacks. But I'll take a look at the CCWs- I've heard about em, but never looked.. I know they have a devoted following.

I think I do need to adjust the frame sheet stay- loaded up, it hits my lower back weird. It's not exactly uncomfortable, but I think on a long hike it probably would get that way- no dig on the pack, I haven't even attempted to fap with it yet. It's a super versatile pack. I haven't even begun to learn all the strap/compression configurations. My man at mountain shop said there should be a booklet in the brain pouch that shows... Mine must be missing. Is it supposed to come with a user manual? A guy can figure Shiite out for himself, but a little guidance would go a long way. So far I've had the pack loaded pretty much everywhere between its capacity range, and it does compress down really well and hug the back when properly adjusted- better than I expected. I was also pleasantly surprised at how well it humps a big, heavy load- but I've only done it on level terrain for short distances so far. No, man... It's a great pack, and I can't wait to get it on some shit this winter. It might even replace my Khamsin. Maybe when I get a better grasp of how to efficiently manage it, it'll even fill my current need.

I actually do like it, and the more I use it (just using it to haul my shit around Oregon right now) the more I like it. BUT... It's not what I was looking for. I still need that pack: super basic, 40l, super light.

Dayum. There's probably only a thin, icy layer of snow coating 800' of steep, very loose volcanic crap up there right now, OP. might be worthwhile to hike up and look, but I wouldn't get too close unless your pretty sure of yourself. There's a lot of extremely experienced local climbers who won't be going anywhere near that slag heap for a month yet.

Damn, bro... Great TR... glad I decided to run through this thread again- I never saw your post, the first time around.

What time of year and what kind of load were you packing?

STOLEN GEAR FOUND - Hoping to find rightful owner
B Deleted_Beck replied to Khoi's topic in Climber's Board
There's a kid (employee) at the Portland Mountain Hardwear store that mentioned his bro's gear got jacked out of his car around that time.... don't remember where he said the guy was from, but since nobody's had any input, I figured I'd put that up. I'd say I'd stop in there and ask myself, but I'm out of town for the foreseeable future... -
So it's a size S? I'm a 19.5... borderline M/L

ice tools, crampons, down bags, tents and more!
B Deleted_Beck replied to jrwclimbs's topic in The Yard Sale
I know it would probably be a pain in somebuddy's ass, but you'd get rid of it a lot faster if you posted up a completer list.. Got a light/compressible 0 down bag? -
Other than Feathered Friends, you mean? http://www.featheredfriendsretail.com/cigewo60l.html Maybe they're the only one in Oregon then- or whoever at Mountain Shop said that is just full of shit.
-
I haven't sold it, but you'd have to come up to Saint Helens tonight to get it- leaving town tomorrow at 5am, and will only be back briefly and unpredictably for the next 4 months
-
Don't really want to ship, but will obviously have to if I eBay them- so I'll check with you if it comes down to it.
-
I don't know the year, but I just bought it from mountain shop a few days ago- so I'm gonna say very recent (they're the only authorized retailer). Color is red
-
Price drop on the Cilo pack- I'll come down to $200 for sake of not sitting on it. Today only!
-
Negative. That's why I specified they're the Spring model- scheoller, not the new polartec. It's the Patty Alpine Guide we have all come to know and love!
-
Feel free to PM me if you really want to work something out, but I'll otherwise plan to keep all this shit... The pack is crammed full and will be coming with me, the pants will go on the shelf, and I guess I'll give the Salopettes another chance... man I hope they don't chaff my scrote..
-
I will take the tool, and grab it from you in Ptown, if'n it's still available -Ben
-
I'll be there.. trying to get bros to go, but they're all bitching out
-
Picked up a Cilogear Worksack 45 today. If I don't like it, I'm sure I can turn it right around here or on MP Thanks gentlemen
-
I'm coming out of a phase of trying to go as cheap as I can... what I found was that spending $75 instead of $200 very frequently results in spending $275.
-
Almost bought a Summitrocket 40 today, but then I heard Mountain Shop carries and stocks Cilogear.. I'll stop in tomorrow afternoon and check 'em out in the flesh. Eyeing that 45 liter Worksack... 22 to 75 adjustability range??
-
Lots of support for the Cilogears... so they climb really well? Stay put, and are low-profile? They LOOK bulky, in the pics, and like they'd want to shift around more than the suction-cup packs I listed above. Are they all frameless? Thanks for the input, gentlemen.
