  1. The left's "solution" to EVERY problem is a new/bigger/more-expensive government program. The newest and most expensive program I'm aware of, is BushCo's ware in Iraq. I don't believe it is a solution proposed by the left to anything. Borrow and spend, that is BushCo's answer. At least Clinton paid as he went.
  2. Right, because universal health care equates to the govt running every aspect of our lives. Exactly what the AMA wants you to believe. You are a good lamb. More fear, fewer questions.
  3. Yet another moron that believes the BS shoveled into his mouth by the AMA. Let's see, the govt can run the post office, the patent office, the court system, the military, the airports, schools, etc But only a union of doctors, who care mainly about keeping their salaries high, can run the health care system. Right. I think the roids are going to your head.

    Bible History

was that a joke? Just shows his ignorance. So maybe it was a joke. Did you guys even watch the video, before you all got your panties in a twist? As to bible thumpers, I guess that depends how you define bible thumper. Do you consider yourselves bible thumpers? Is Larry Craig a bible thumper? Do you think he would like it in Lot's home town?

    Bible History

If this refers to Lot, don't think he was following the good book. Since Lot is a character in the book, wouldn't it be pretty hard for him to be following it? Just say'in.
  6. What the hell did people expect from a contestant representing a red state? And a southern red state at that, where the bible is probably the primary text book.

    Killer Rats

Wow. I never saw that Letterman clip... dude had one weird shtick ...he always seems to get the roles of rather odd characters... the Thin Man in Charlies Angels, the guy on the train in Dead Man (Jarmusch). Never saw Willard, but looks pretty odd their too.

    Hey, isn't that George McFly?

    Bunnies are rad!

Dude, you should take her back to highway 20. Just on the edge of Marblemount there is a resort that doubles as a bunny refuge. That is where everybody else leaves their bunnies after trying to "rescue" them from the wild. Maybe you've seen them. If you go through late at night (like after doing Eldorado in a day - something like that) then you can drop it off without having to pay the rescue fee... though they call it a donation.
  10. leave it to TTK to weave both Iraq and Christian mocking into a thread on animal cruelty Vick should have hired Cheney to finish off the unwanted dogs... he has a shot gun and he likes shoot'n stuff, that would have given his underground operation some credibility, something that seems to be very lacking, and could have helped his PR. Better yet, he should have hired Halliburton to consult on his operations, that would have gotten the entire executive branch on his side... Finding Jebus will certainly help, it helped improve W's image with the righties... and once the righties are on your side, watch out!
  11. I have a cousin in town for a few days that I'd like to take camping. Since an accident a few years ago, he is a paraplegic and so anything more than car camping is beyond question. I haven't really car camped much, so don't know what good spots there might be, but was hoping people might have some ideas. I think the ideal conditions would be high up, with good views, and pretty remote, as in not crowded spots. I've heard there are some FS roads in the North Cascade areas that go pretty high, any suggestions? Regards
  12. I'm not sure how it is in Canada, but down here we have these things called trials - and the accused must be convicted of something before they're punished. The fact that you suggest lynching (note the correct spelling, dip shit) leaves me wondering exactly what kind of justice a man or woman would find in your version of utopia. Yeah, nobody has ever gotten lynched in the US... "Frank Little, the IWW's most outspoken war opponent, was lynched in Butte, Montana in August of 1917, just four months after war had been declared." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Industrial_Workers_of_the_World Just sayin...

    Where's this?

No kidding. Unless he is a homo and doesn't want the 42 virgins waiting for him in heaven... so he tries to look busy by carrying the cross around instead. Wait, maybe I'm getting my religions confused... which one gives out 42 virgins? And which one hates homos? Oh, and which one burns witches and nonbelievers? But as to the question, my guess was going to be the landscape garden that SCCC uses in its landscape program. What was the answer, anyway?
  14. Are you aware, that Iran had a democratically elected prime minister from 1951-1953, and he was overthrown via a plot between the US and the UK, and replaced with the Shah? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mohammed_Mossadeq http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Ajax Perhaps we should let these people run their own lives and nations, rather than continueing to butt in to protect "our" oil. I don't accept your premise, on which your questions are based, that we are engaged in an effort to spread democracy. We are just trying to protect oil, that some here feel we have a god given entitlement to.
  15. Feel free to pose specific questions to me... I'm not going to read all of your posts trying to figure out which questions pertain to my premise, which is that the attacks are largely a result of misguided US foreign policy with regards to Israel, Iran, and Saudi Arabia.
  16. I didn't say I was more of an expert, only that he isn't more of an expert than the rest of us around the political debate. How is your reading comprehension doing?
  17. jclark... your job was to follow orders, and your orders were to help wage a war. I don't dispute at all that you have experiences in that area that most of us do not. However, part of this debate isn't how to manage the war, it is the politics of why we are at war, and if we should be... your experiences, as valuable as they are, don't qualify you beyond the rest of us in that part of the debate... the political debate. What do your experinces tell you about whether or not the US should give as much money each year, as we do, to Israel? What do those experiences have to say about whether our CIA should have propped up the Shah in Iran? What about supporting a monarchy in Saudi Arabia?
  18. I stopped reading here, because the author's ignorance demonstrates that he really doesn't understand. We were not attacked because of our freedoms. We were attacked because we support a Zionist/near-apartheid regime in Israel, we supported a dictator (Shah) in Iran whom we helped put into power by CIA efforts to overthrow the democratically elected leader prior to him, and we support a monarchy in Saudi Arabia. In other words, we were attacked due to our foreign policy. If the author can't understand this, then I'm not interested in his views on the rest if the issue(s).
  19. Yeah, I'm not a big fan of his solo act, but he rocked when he was with The Smiths... K2NrIALcNOw
  20. You are embarrassed that you like Blondie? They fucking kick ass. I saw them in Seattle a few years ago... '99 I believe.
  21. Wait, wait, not so fast. Do you have anything from the Backwoods Hussies series?
  22. So, I was baked the other day, and had the stereo on KNDD for some reason... it is normally on KEXP, but I sometimes change it to avoid some program I don't like. Anyway, I'm writing some code or something like that, and this rather cool song plays. I liked it, especially while baked. It was cool. So I check the KNDD website and it is fucking Coldplay (the song Talk). I have to be honest and admit I didn't even really know who they were, only that people made fun on of them. Now what do I do? This sucks.

    Poor Guy....

Wait a minute, I thought they were out of virgins anyway. Didn't that get reported in some Dutch paper a while back? I recall there being a bit of an uproar about it.
  24. pretty lame anti-dem spin move Was that anti-dem? I couldn't tell. I thought it was just a reference to the time Bush shit his pants while at his desk.
