  1. I've run a lot of miles at cougar mtn park and I have a hard time believing someone would fall into a ravine in the first place. Secondly, then not be found? And why would he spend the night when he could just get back to the trial? That park is not THAT exotic.
  2. Ruptured achilles tendon! Ouch Cool footage, glad to see everything came out alright.
  3. Well, looks as if my partner is going to man up, so stuart is on! Anyway, thanks for all of the suggestions, definitely going to be hitting up one of those next weekend. The traverse sounds really appealing.
  4. So, my usual climbing partner has a gnarly concussion and won't be able to climb this weekend. However, I possibly have a ride to leavenworth area. Instead of bouldering with him I was thinking of doing a solo up in the colchuck lake area. Just looking for some fun yet safe solo climbs in that area. I was thinking the NBC of colchuck or something along those lines...Thanks for the input.
  5. I went to ski Ullrich's but ended up skiing part of the West Ridge Notch Couloir due to snow conditions. TR here Gotcha. Just trying to get an idea on snow conditions sicne I'm head up there this weekend. thanks.
  6. Hi. I live on the eastside. I like to climb rock. Where can I find these wonderful looking specimens?

    COOK

COOK! You should call me back about his weekend sweetie... KAT! Wanna go climbing this weekend? Matt can come too if he doesn't want to do stuart.
  9. Any special beta for the rock pitches?
  10. There is this gnarly overhanging problem on your mom - It starts all offwidth on greasy slopers until you pull for the dirty jug about halfway up the overhang. A quick mantle (watch out for the wet spot)and some lower angle hiking to the top. It's a classic line. I thought that was the finger crack?

Check out Sammamish valley cycle in Redmond. Good people and generally good prices when looked at non-2007 stuff. I got my bike $400 below list I think? $999 instead of $1399. If you do go, look for Marshall, Matt of Paul and tell them Kevin sent you. Its right next to the Redmond Post office.

  16. Do you guys own a time machine?
  17. Mother's day ruined my climbing plans. Just climbed some cracks instead.
  18. Its pretty thinned out...
  19. I like the last quote.
  20. I'm sorry, but there are absoluetly no olympic caliber distance runners going 30 mpw post 1950s. Even Roger Bannister was running a fair amount. John Landy was no slouch when it came to mileage either.

    Chem

We just finished pH of a buffer solution! Awesome dude! After looking at it, can't you just use the henderson-hasselback equation: pH=-log(Ka)+log(base/acid)
  22. How far in the past? pre-70s? Outside of coe and ovett in the late 80s and early 90s, both of whom were 800 runners, europe hasn't produced any solid distance talent. The africans have dominated, but thats all irrelevant. I personally find it hard to directly compare world class training to my own. When I get up to 70 mpw I'll usually have around 3 morning runs of 4 miles each. One long run of 12-14 miles and I always take one day off. This usually leaves around ~44 miles between 5 days and 9 miles/day isn't bad. Do a couple 10 milers and recovery runs. Plus, for those who don't know, HAVING RUNNING PARTNERS MAKES RUNNING EASIER! Also, have a goal keeps the motivation up. Sorry for the rambling.
