Oh, Bill, yer Kill'n me. MUST RESIST, NO MORE GEAR...
-
I think I've done at least 7-8 variations on the b-hole pitch, with & without jams. Sometimes left, sometimes right, sometimes up the middle. It goes many ways but one of my all time favorites there for sure.

I've seen it there quite a bit lately. I start drooling and reaching for the buy button every time it pops up. Then, I smack myself and try to convince myself I DON'T NEED it. Looks like a great deal on a sweet bivy though. Must resist gear, no more gear. Gotta figure out what to do with the mounting closet full of deals from them already. Anyone need a nice ski helmet, size small? Open to trade for gear of equal value? Got some other nice stuff that don't fit anyone here. LaSportiva Women's trail running shoes, Marmot Dryclime Jacket (womens), Mens small windstopper vest & much more... Let's make a deal!

Still have not even gotten on FFS, holding out for the onsite. Could be a loooong wait.

2010 Beacon Rock Peregrine Monitoring Journal

Takes one to know one, big Pink. Actually, Ivan and I did pm each other, and he publicly set the matter straight. And you're right, the breaking of branches doesn't have much to do with monitoring falcons, but it's at least on the same thread as Beacon, which is why I posted it when I saw people saying they'd just climbed there. Just being polite about the space. Some get pissed when seperate conversations go on for too long, maybe esp. when it concerns where I worked, who I know, etc. etc. Cheers. Just for the record, I heard Pink has climbed ElCap. -

Yep. What years were you there? I spent the summers of 1993-2000 working in Denali. Perhaps we crossed paths up there? Was that you chasing me during the "Denali Dash" circa 1995ish (a 3 mile naked run that is held every first full moon of August)? I think that was the same year two naked guys on mt bikes crashed into each other and were both knocked out. Seems one of them broke his nose pretty bad. Then again, maybe that was 94? But I digress.... -

Come back in mid to late July when the closure is lifted and we'd be happy to run you up the SE Corner route on Beacon. One of the northwest's classic lines (IMO). It's a great climb to the top and only a few 5.6-5.7 moves on the entire 5 pitch route. I think anybody that can get on that route would really enjoy it. Most of us would be happy to show you the ropes, so to speak... Sounds very good! Northwests' classic lines? True? Seriously, sounds very good. Thanks. Well, you have some great positions, with beautiful views of the river. Granted, I have barely scratched the surface of "lines" in the northwest, but I do know a good climb when I stumble onto one. Even though your only 5 minutes from the parking lot, Beacon can have a real "alpine" feel once you get a few pitches off the ground. The finally ridge pitch is 5.5stectacular (IMO)... -

Well said Joseph. Thanks for reminding me what I was already aware of. Very accurate, too. (IMO) -

It's good to see a topic, like this thread, that we can all finally agree on.
