we tried goats and actually found they avoided the thickest parts of the stalk and root system. They're a good method for cutting back the growth but if you want them gone you're gonna have to get those roots out....

I grew up in Woodinville and spent much of my childhood clearing blackberry bushes. What I found to be the most effective was a gas-powered weed trimmer with a round metal saw-blade attachment (they sell them specifically for blackberries and other thick-stalked weeds) -- take everything down to the ground, and then dig out as much of the root as possible, and then use a ground tiller to tear up the ground and rip out any more roots, and then carefully comb all those roots out of the soft ground, and keep an eye on the area and till it again once you see any new shoots. We tried a flame thrower and actually caught an entire underground root system on fire -- have you ever seen an underground fire? really weird! and dangerous.

I put boiling water into a platypus once in winter and the hot water melted the glue or something; the whole thing came apart after about 10 minutes, just long enough to ensure everything I owned was soaked.

Trip: Amabilis - Date: 1/3/2013 Trip Report: I know, not a super cool place but I've never been here before and I figured it seemed like a good place to go without a partner. I had the place to myself, and found some nice turns in the clear cuts. lots of good snow out there

Things like this only happen because America doesn't have enough guns.
-
Just go to a gun show or classifieds and buy from private seller (not a dealer). No background check required. I have bought six guns this way. God bless America!

The 2nd amendment does say a "well regulated" militia. Our militia is lookin a tad bit unregulated for my tastes.

Obama used DARPA mind-control to make the shooter do it, so that he could get guns outlawed before 2016 when he refuses to step down.

So do you take personal responsibility for the death of your son? By the way, I know this isn't my fight, but let me be the first to say: fuck you

It's funny that when it comes to gun rights this is a question, but if you substituted any other situation the answer is clear. Let's try it out. - The bank left the vault unlocked when the robbery took place and they stole all the cash in it. - The soldiers left the nuclear payload unsecured when the insurgents attacked the base. - You left your car unlocked and the thief stole the belongings. This women had some clear choices being faced with an unstable son. Secure the weapons in such a way he would never be able to get them OR just get rid of them. She choose not to. And like any other type of security system, it's always obvious when it wasn't enough. And always too late.

Well, that's Rob's assertion, so you might ask him. Yes, when you purchase weapons of killing, YOU ARE THE LAST LINE OF DEFENSE. This isn't a hard concept to get. If you cannot wrap your head around the fact that it is up to you, and no one else, to keep the guns safe and secure, then you have no business owning them. What the fuck? Obviously the guns were not kept secure enough. Obviously. How can you dispute this? As tvash says, maybe the only way to have them secure enough is to not have them. I'm selling mine. Want them? Mostly shotguns. They're just not worth it anymore.

+1 Ex-wife for me. Most people don't know what the fuck they're talking about.
