  1. Your caloric output should meet or exceed your input. The quickest way to cut calories is to eliminate soda pop, yes even the one calorie "diet" pop. Just because it has one calorie doesn't mean it's not loaded with other crap you don't need.
  2. Good question, I would check out which doctors are covered under my health care plan and narrow it down from there.
  3. The Trango Max Cams are crap. Metolius's small Super Cam has the range about equivilant to a BD #1 & 2 and is the most useful asym cam IMO.
  4. I couldn't stop my fit of sadistic laughter.
  5. It's cause Hilary has her panties in a wad and is so damn uptight for having to censer herself all the time. We give her credit for loosening her tie enough to take a shot.
  6. Truck nutz are to trucks what Free Ballard! bumper stickers are to Volvos. The car just isn't complete without them. Just like Calvin pissing on anything.
  7. OMC has my vote. To bad you need it now. I just got a BCA Tracker off Backcountry.com with a 20% off no sales tax (not that it's an issue for you) & free shipping.

Oh snap, that's why we need a big fence, to keep out all the terrorists!

    SNOW!

Well, paint me yellow and call me blue. I didn't believe it until I saw it. Snow in April.
  11. I don't like it, but no one asked me. We are told this is "for our protection." The need for contractors stems from a lack of enrolements in the Armed Forces. You want the soldiers you have to do the work of a soldier and not logistical tasks such as food prep and support services. Oh but this prevents us from activating the draft, right? The main benefactor is KBR (Haliburton) and in some cases was the only contractor considered for bids. Oh yeah, and Haliburton moved their headquarters from the US to United Arab Emirates, hmmm, what are the advantages there? Less taxes, more legal immunity?
  12. I DON'T KNOW, BUT IF FRED DID POST, WOULD HE WRITE IN ALL CAPS?
  13. Thanks for the post. I am in need of getting my Spirit 4's molded. Marmot couldn't help me out yesterday & FF is by appt only. I called Sturtevants and the staff is headed up to Canada for a boot fitting clinic for the next week.
  14. We all start somewhere. I'm grateful for groups such as Boealps & the Mountaineers for all the education they provide. Even though I am not a member of either groups, it prevents "more news at 11" stories. Thanks for the heads up FF.
  15. Word. The last thing we need is another disaster at the end of an already brutal season.
  16. and pay Will Ferrell in advance to be there and sing it. That way when your friends show up for your funeral and see Will there, they will be like "Man, my buddy was cooler than I thought"
  17. I saw the heading of this thread and wondered why more people don't climb the REI Pinnacle.
  18. Hardly, Decades ago, Oregon had a "Basic Speed Rule" where you drive at a speed safe for conditions. That is why signs in Oregon say "Speed" rather than "Speed limit". So on a clear sunny day with light traffic you could argue 70 is safe for the conditions. Conversely, if you drive 55 in a 55 speed zone during a snowstorm, without a traction device of some sorts in traffic, you could get a ticket. This law has been replaced by stricter legislation, eliminating the judge's ability to reduce a fine set by the officer. I think the overall message sent is that people don't know how to drive according to the conditions (traffic or weather). Legislation can not replace common sense.
