  1. What approach did you take to get to Maude? Did you go up phelps creek? Have they already ungated the chiwawa river road?
  2. Sounds like things are good to go. Thanks for all the Beta.
  3. Hey, I'm wondering if anyone has any recent information on these 2 routes on Stuart's north side? Anyone head up into that area this last weekend? your help is greatly appreciated, -Jordan
  4. here: http://climbingnarc.com/2009/05/pictures-of-the-bolting-on-everest
  5. Shuksan is glaciated on all sides, so any route you do is going to be harder than the Cascadian on Stuart. The scramble up the summit pyramid on Shuksan is class 3 by the easiest route, If I recall the cascadian couloir, there isn't anything above class 2. So its hard to compare. If you have basic glacier travel/rescue skills, then you shouldn't have a problem, but without that, you should look at climbing something more in your skill range, and move up from there.
  6. Thanks for the heads up.
  7. You can drive up to the Eldorado Creek gate at MP 20. It will be gated for most of the season due to washouts.
  8. PM sent for red metolius
  9. Just a quick update: I was out there this last weekend climbing Eldorado, and I took a 4x4 because the national forest website advised it. You don't need one at all, leave it behind and save yourself some gas money.
  10. If there was an Olympic spray team, most of you would be on it. Seriously, Its amazing! Be proud, NW hikers cant even touch that!
  11. I guess I should have just called the ranger station in the first place. Anyway, the road is gated at 29 pines, with lots of snow, for anyone who wants to know.
  12. Believe it or not, I posted this here because the Cle Elum ranger station web site has been down. Anyway, I don't usually Google for current conditions, because I always end up getting something that is outdated, like the link you posted, but point taken. I plan on giving the ranger station a ring, I'll post back with what I find.
  13. anyone now if its possible to make it out to the Ingalls trail yet?
  14. Its interesting, in the book he talks about cutting around the tissue and muscle, and that didn't hurt much because it was dead, but when he had to cut the nerves, that part was excruciating. He passed out every time he tried to sever them, I think it took him a few tries.
  15. are you willing to part with individual pieces, or are you selling the things as one whole unit?
  16. I'm sure many of you have already heard about this, but I couldn't find a post anywhere about it. Anyway, here is the video. I warn you that this footage is disturbing. [video:youtube]53Lf9wvZ18Q Here is a link to an article: http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=924_1234614888&c=1
  17. Wow, what a difference a few days makes. I was in the same area with a friend this last weekend, and all we could see was white. If only we could have come in earlier! Great photos by the way!

Don’t worry, it’s all part of the college experience. It gets even better when you have to pay 150$ for some broken piece of shit text book for the worthless class, only to sell it back for 10 bucks so they can resell the book to the next unlucky sap.
  19. What do you all think the chances are that ice around Leavenworth will still be in this upcoming weekend? Weather looks like crap, but you never know.
  20. Coleman seracs are the only thing I can think of. You won't find a better place to practice your ice shit in Washington.
  21. Holy Hell!!! That is Insane!!! You crazy Russians and your V-threads.
  22. Wow, Nice job! It finally fell. You guys should get mad kudos for this!
  23. Thanks, I wasn't really planing on finding anything. I guess I'm just a filthy optimist. I will take the rule of thumb into account this season. Thanks for the info.
  24. I am heading over to the Tri-Cities next weekend (the 8th and 9th) for my grandmas birthday. I know its a little early for ice, but I was wondering if someone could point me to some places near by that I could scout at the least. thanks
