Someone emailed these to me. There seems to be a little competition going on as to who can come up with the best "dis Chevy" promo. I wish I could see all the entries. I actually think some of the serious ones would be pretty funny too. I found a link wiht a bunch. I love this one Lots o links -r

Apparently Chevrolet has some "apprentice program" which allows you to interactively make some ad for a Tahoe. However as you might expect, some of these are not so pro-SUV. This was my favorite spoof -r

This however is not SHC! It does not count when you stick your head in a lit fireplace.

So all this legal fuss was over 30-45 minutes of torching or a couple of extra ounces of ash? But what happens if you have a knee replacement or steel plate in your skull? Do they keep it as a tip? 1600f won't melt it. -r

Or... Do it yourself cremation kits.

I bet there is a lot of bubbling, hissing and poping involved with that much body fat. There might also be a dismemberment surcharge if they need to cremate the body in multiple parts due to the capacity of the creamatorium. Or perhaps body fat is highly flamable and they need extra fire insurance in cases where things could get wildly out of control. Mostly I just don't want to think about this anymore. -r

  21. OK Sold on Lithium. Thanks for the input. I went to Batteries Plus for now. My need for instant gratification overruled the patience\pocketbook. Plus I wanted to use them yesterday on a climb. -r
  22. We didn't do Leuthold, due to helping the lost climber cause. Instead we did the standard S.Side where the missing climbers had climbed. The snow on the S.Side was very boot-track friendly but there are some areas that you'll still punch through but nothing seriously deep. I see T-Line got 2 inches overnight and more is on the way. I'm heading up Sunday again. Skinning up was a line picking challenge. There was a thin layer of rhime\hoar\snow and lots of interesting snow features. You could pick a line and skin like it you were skining on perfect conditions and 3 feet one way or the other, it was an icy bumpy mess. Overall, visibility was\is the main concern. The cloud layer yeaterday was below the top of the Palmer. -r
  23. with 2 flats and a dry chain. OK I know I would take shit for that
  24. I'm with downfall on the single speed idea. Of the 5 bikes I own, only 2 have gears (for racing). Fixed or single speed makes maintenenace simple. I ride 100 milers in the hills on a fixed gear. It's not so bad once you get into the groove. If you really want to fiddle with it, I'd read Sheldong's pages like mentioned and if push came to shove, I am sure some local frame builder would help for cheap. -r
  25. A group of us are heading up Leuthold on Thursday. We'll post an update. We're bringing skis -r
