BTW- We took the Australian fishing over the last few days. He seemed like an alright guy. Level headed, mellow, easy going, smart, good basic outdoor skill, I'd climb with him.

I wouldn't go so far as to say the best but you're definently on to something. That's the reason I'm posting here looking for partners. Like I said earlier there are about a half dozen good, serious climbers here. In all honesty that's it.

It didn't take a guy from the other side of the world more than a few days to figure out how pathetically sad the local climbing scene is here. Another proud day for Alaskan climbers.

A guy travels half way around the world to climb here and shoots me a message looking for a climbing partner. So I respond to his message but our time frames didn't mesh so we didn't go. I wonder how many of the nice, politically correct, cool climbers in the area responded to his ad?

Hopefully, it's tongue-in-cheek as disrimination based on where a person is born is as silly as that based on sex, race, nationality, or any other circumstantial attribute of birth. That's my point, it runs rampant here. When I first came up here that's pretty much what I was told and I'm still being told that.

I don't really have too much of a problem finding partners, it'd be nice to have more though. That's why I've posted here looking for more. Is that wrong? I'm pretty sure I know most of the better climbers in the area and none of them seem to have any problem climbing with me. As for the chugachdude... he's got the classic Alaska climber mentality. Fuck off and go back where you came from, classic Alaskan wanker.

There's up to a half dozen(6) alpine climbers in the Anchorage area depending on who's in town. This the same bitch I've had since I got here.

No kidding about the wind... 72mph gust were recorded yesterday at that train pass down the Kenai. Anchorage has been below freezing sense Febuary 7th. We are also having the coldest March on record so far.

Looking for a climbing partner for some Anchorage area alpine routes

It all started about five years ago right after I moved up here. I was looking for a local climbing partner so I posted an add on the local forum site, the pitiful AMF. Micahmcguire responded to the add asking me for a resume. I made a short list of what I'd done in the last few years and sent it his way. Not to brag but it was a pretty hot list. He didn't recognize any of the routes and responde that he "was not into babysitting me". He went on to say that "he didn't have time to teach me how to climb" and recomended that I take a basic mountineering coarse. What a jackass! In the following 5 years he has not done a thing, other than spread misinformation.

Sorry for the double post,didn't mean to post it twice. I apologize for the "bad style" or whatever but I'm a climber not a computer nerd. I'm just tired of good,accurate Alaska climbing info being edited out by that wanker.

I started a new route thread that had alot of information not available anywhere else. All of the info I posted was first hand and highly accurate and of course I added my own flare to it. It was moved to their fucking spray section which is heavily moderated by an ass named Micahmcguire. Now my spray is erased and it's not even bad for spray. Ths ass Micahmcguire post a photo of him standing in the ocean holding a baby with his gut hanging out. All I did was ask if he was pregnant, it sure looks like it. What do you think about their heavy moderation and misinformation (lies) given out by their most censoring moderator Michamcguire? Posted on here to get some outside opinions and because he erased this same post.
