Messner would skunk House hands down...how many 8000er's has House solo'd without oxygen?? Messner was the shit. I agree. But Steve House has put up the craziest athletic alpine routes imaginable. Try climbing 6000 feet of water ice/rock and snow and back to the tent on the glacier in a 60 push with no tent or sleeping gear. All the crampons on. Thats fucked up!

I dont agree. You dont get to chop anything. I have freed tons of shit without clipping all the bolts....I would never think of destroying another person art work...no matter how much it pissed me off or it sucked ass. For the most part...chopping is bad.

Ken....just a sugestion. You could aid Freeforsome with ease....solo. Its easy to make an anchor and there is a halfway anchor to bail if the weather gets bad. Just a thought. Have fun.
