FW. This country is were it is because of the GOP's ways of governing. It is obvious to the world that it does not work (hence the current crisis). Why dont you move aside and let someone else give it a try?

Spending. FW....ever heard the term "you have to spend money to make money"? This country needs a massive jolt of money poured into it to get it going. Unlike the last spending bill where we still dont know were most of it is........ If you were to jump start your car.....would you cut off the energy (cut taxes) to the battery to get it going? Or would you give it a jolt with cables from another car/sorce to get it going?

I understand the fear here Bill.....but....the minute we live in a society without rules…..we become them. We become what we hate the most. We have to strive to transcend into a new level of morality. IMO everyone gets treated like you would want to be treated. Everyone…..no matter who you are or what you did. IMO its not about how strong the tree is...but how shitty is looks and how it will effect the tree's health in the long run.

Wow....thanks. I have asked jim many times about the rope. It does need to be replaced. It was put there in 1998 for a ledge party we had. About 20 people showed up and lots of dinking ensued. Jim wanted a focal point to tie into for everybody. What about the rap on the tree? I would prefer to have a rap anchor over to the left where the chimney comes out and get the webbing off the tree....I know Jim would have a tissy fit if someone did this.

They tell you this and you believe it. IMO they are closing it because they either are getting fat and lazy and or simply do not have the funding to pay enough rangers to police it. I simply do not take what the authorities say at face value.

Thanks Bill….actually that is not what I was trying to say……but, if you follow your logic through…..then it becomes clear that the powers to be only care about not inconveniencing the tax payers and do not give a shit about our rare birds. If they did actually care about the birds…..equality for the masses would ensue. I have lost all faith in the people in charge who make decision on what to do with our tax money. AKA IRAQ. I find it odd that the people in charge (who ever they are) can close one trail to protect the birds...but not the other trail to protect the birds, especially since the “other” trail poses a much more significant threat to the birds.
