So far a couple people have shown interest, but no one has committed yet. I fly in Tuesday the 10th and out Monday the 16th. To help people commit, I will try and sweeten the deal: If you are cool and can get to Vegas you can share my hotel and car (no charge). I don't party hard. I am not a gambler. I really just want to go climb multi-pitch 5.6-5.9. Hopefully so do you. Call or PM. Thanks. -Ken 206 459 3453 Las Vegas Forecast

It sure did Tom. Thanks for a good time! I got some days off to use and I am actually getting motivated. I might have plans for next weekend, but I am also interested in a Smith trip with Beacon and/or TC (never been there) thrown in, weather dependent.

I am taking next week off from work. I would like to get out and climb a bunch. I am leading around 5.9 right now. Camping and climbing around Leavenworth works for me, but if someone wanted to go in on a Red Rocks trip (something like $350-400: Plane, Hotel, and Car), that would be ideal! I could also shift my days off to Wed-Wed starting next week. PM if interested. Thanks.

I really like Stone Gardens, but just a reminder to keep your valuables locked up; I had my wallet stolen earlier today from my jacket in a cubbyhole, and the bastards already charged $300+ to one card. In talking to my financial institutions, it sounds like I am covered. I hope they get caught. The cash in the wallet alone should have been sufficient, but then they go and charge it up. Anyways, be careful and have fun!

I kept thinking why is this psycho jumping! Next time just yell "FALLING!". Was that the same day I lost (and later you gained?) a #5 C4?

I like the team portriat. Nice TR and photos.

How about this weekend? Same deal as before. Anyone available/interested?

Yeah, it sounds like something I shouldn't miss. I was almost going to go last year, but I was all gimp leg and eventually just didn't feel like it. So, this will be my first Ropeup!
-
I don't want to do any running, but am interested in Little Anapurna. Ivan, are you going this year?
-
I'll buy lunch, dinner, or breakfast on the last day; whenever we finish. Saturday's weather forecast looks great!

There may be some wet rock, but I am betting that negotiating snow will not be necessary. Forecasted daytime highs and nighttime lows looks pretty promising this week.

Looking for someone (or 2) to do WR with. Hike in Friday afternoon/evening and camp. Hike out Sat night or Sun Morning. I did the Cascadian earlier this season. It would be my first time on WR. I have a vehicle and can drive. PM if interested. Thanks. -Ken

I was climbing 2 days after we returned, no stitches. Not really that big of a deal. I hope you all enjoyed the story though... -
I would like to get on Thompson WR this weekend if anyone is interested.

I am looking to do Stuart - West Ridge as soon as the leg is healed up, if anyone is interested. Thanks again for retrieving my bag and bivy! Dave: My New Hero... -
For poison oak, I use alcohol and lots of cotton balls. When it no longer feels good (starts to hurts) to rub it, you are done. It works every time for me.

"the fear is the danger." NICE! You know you do the same thing.

Hey Tim! Family maintenance is important and since you have gotten out a lot this year, I understand. Dave is my partner BTW. And, yes we will be brining beers and such...

I have a permit for 4 people starting Friday Aug 21 ending Monday Aug 24. I have a partner (knocks on wood) and am looking for a second team of 2 (or 3) climbers. I am thinking we will hike in Friday and maybe do Sunchips. Then Dragontail - Serpentine Arete on Saturday. Maybe Dragontail - NE Buttess on Sunday (something). And, an easy hike out Monday. If you have any ideas let me know, but I only lead up to 5.8 right now and follow maybe 10-. I am really just looking for a fun time in the mountains. I hiked the loop earlier this year and look forward to getting back there again. I have a vehicle and live in West Seattle and can drive up to 4 people (including myself). I would like to be reimbursed for the cost of the permit ($20 per person). Send a PM if interested. Thanks. -Ken

Nice job Tim! I wish I could have tagged along for that one.

Thanks for the update Joseph! Maybe just make Kevin's Thread a Sticky or a FAQ???
