-

-
go try on everypack you can find and get the one that fits your body best. i would not just buy a pack cuz someone says its good. make sure you cut off all those dumb straps.

how is faster if you have to un-clip it and then un-clip it to seperate it into a shoulder length? isn't that quickdraws are for?
-
it was an ex-wife and one child.
-
dave, you should use more then one source for your whining.
-
alpinfox, atleast he touched the actual summit of his mountain, so i would say he was successfull in climbing his objective.

wow you have to pay to play. tragic. -
holy shit that 18" crap would suck and be bulky. some people just to tech for their own good. just like the people who turn their SHOULDER lengths into draws. so dumb.

after skiing for 25 years i have to say that there is no advantage of a snowboard over skis. i would really see it the other way, anyone that says different can't ski. granted i have several friends on splitboards and they have a ton of fun. #1 thing to remember is that equipment is never your excuse for poor ability. have fun.

whirlwind you are/were at will employment so they are not required to write you up or give you a warning. sounds like they did the right thing for the company. how hard is it to get to work on time? you know you have to get there.....rarely does someone not know thier car is a pos, so you need to make other plans to get to work on time. also hitting a structure shows that you are unsafe, never should a vehicle come in contact with a building. that alone constitues an inability to be considered a safe worker. smarten up a bit you might last longer.

why so many switchbacks? -
beta is overrated.
-
i will! and you keep getting fat and content! have a nice day...time to go skiing with the dog and friends for the next 3 days. dont choke on your twinkie.
-
you are right...only working 6 months a year has diluted the ideal of success to me. maybe i should return to cubicle nation like you and watch myself get fat and comfortable in the reflection of the computer monitor.
-
i think that general exercise with some target goals will do you better in the long run then attempting to make rapid gains thru artifical means.
-
and that is why you are entering your middle ages getting more fat and slower by the day, not coming close to even creating a tick list as you already know that you will never come close to your dreams. keep programming i am sure someday it will feel like success. and on top of that your point is irrelevant as people need shoes as they do wear out rather quickly. so why not spend less and get the same thing?
-
jens hit it right on the head for ropes. i buy a new one with my tax return and another new one for my bady in the fall. the only place where ropes need to be 100% is on multiday walls and if that is the case out come the mammut supersafes.
-
when buying used ice tools, i would say just go and buy new picks.
-
evolv and madrock make some decent approach shoes(arent all shoes approach shoes?) and they are about 40% less then sportiva or five10 and will last as long if not longer.
-
best part about this bag and pretty much all newly released gear is the amount of urbanites that rush out to buy this shit. i mean what your old shit doesnt work anymore? like all the people selling their cams for the new c4s. shit i bet 95%of you office slobs won't be able send any harder, hike any faster or climb any harder. its not the gear that makes the climber it is the person and their mentality aiming towards success. these bags are dumb. crackers, i am still waiting to product test one of your mid-size bags for sierra alpine and b/c skiing trips. you can even stay at my house when you drop it off.
-
beecher....head up varden or silverstar drainages and ski up to the pass that way.....silver star is the shorter of the two. but varden will put you near kangaroo pass which is at the 2nd?? switchback on the highway. or ski from the road closure into cutthroat lk basin.
-
ski traverse the entire range. i am sure there are some lackeys on this site that will meet you at road crossings to re-up on the neccesities.
