  2. Panisonic tough book, you can kill people with it or stop a bullet. Plus it has a touch screen for those intimate moments with your internet porn.
  3. Well one thing that I know is that Kerry promised to come back and windsurf in the gorge b4 July was over and he failed to do so. Bozo the Clown gets me vote this year. Robobobobo gimme some idea in what you are specifically talking about?? Did Kerry actaully hurt himself while wanking or sumpin?? One more thing that makes me dislike Bushco is that my cousin is preggers and her husband is leacing for Iraq(army) and wont be there for the birth, he applied for a deferment and it got denied, yet Cheny had 7 deferments in Vietnam and had no reason to do so other then he was/is a rich fat ass nancy boy. Now that really pisses me off.
  4. my wife looked at this thread last night and i am looking at it now so there are two views. i love dirt but i am going to colorado for a bit. have fun!
  5. You don't need a very large rack for this climb. It is not sustained. I think we brought about 5 nuts and 3 cams and 10 shoulder lengths and that was more then adequate for simul climbing the entire ridge.
  6. I have heard what john is saying that most cases in 1st world countries are a result of poor sanitary conditions in the back country. Think the last time time you took a dump and the went ahead and made some breakfast with only a slight washing of the hand, or handled your spoon? Just cuz your finger doesn't smell doesn't mean it ain't tainted. I still purify water in heavily used areas because think of all the snow that has been used to clean. I have also drank from snow creek several times and have never felt any adverse affects.
  7. we have been bouldering in a new area near stevenson, tho you have to negotiate a talus and alot of poison oak. it is on really nice basalt with bad landings.
  8. there is a website on terra. something or another it is in spanish and contains most of the topos for the patagonia area....
  9. if you are doing the white salmon, then go with wet planet. Grated raft guides are more pathetic then climbing guides, they seem the lesser of the evils.
  10. that the best part of a ciggarette is when you are done and you just throw that burning ember out of your car window in august while driving down I-5. There is something soo satisfying about shutting down the freeway, destroying public and private property and affecting thousands of stangers lives in a negative way by your sole act of carelessness. I am sure the people who lost their home feel the same way! Thanks ciggarette smokers for allowing your nasty habit affect everyone! It makes one think that maybe turn signals and ash trays are really just for looks???
  11. Get yaar vary own... www.captjackspiratehats.com
  12. we did the payette a month ago and loved it, from paralyzing our friend to a fist fight with some jibbers after plowing them outta the surf hole...a great trip altogether!!!
  13. nope there is some of that rhino rock north of the middle of those 3 lakes. you go up some canyon. lotsa sport routes, tho there are supposed issues with access....????
  14. i dunno...tho he shot me a few emails the last few daze.....
  15. hey distel it aint no troll. we came accross a crag thqat was developed in the early 90's abandoned and then some people have started to "develop" more of the crag in the last few months or so. they only put in bolts and avoid the cracks, tho they admit to bolting some placements for the ease of climbing the route, its weird tho as the person told me they avoid bolting cracks, yet they admited to doing so. they also asked us not to really climb there as they wanted to control it. the funny thing is they did not discover and it has been mentioned on the net b4(not this site) which is what we find bullshit. matter of fact i am going there in an hour or so to climb the cracks and avoid their bolted face contrivences. i almost want to talk to the land managers cuz in some ways i think it is in a wilderness area they have been using an electric roto hammer, the thing that prevents me from doing so is the quality of the crag.
  16. i might be down let me get hold of you when i get back.
  17. the fires are cuasing haze here in hood river too.
  18. Does anyone have a say on who can or cannot climb at a 'secret crag' if it's on public land? No one, right?
  19. Leave the brightest and least frayed pieces up there, and just rap on what is left.
  20. Also the larger vehicle allows them to haul personel as well. It actually makes sense to have the Tool driving them around as opposed to some fuckstick in Seattle sporting it. Tho I draw the line at night vision and and satelite internet in the rig.
  21. To tow a trailer larger then 2000lbs you need a truck thatis larger, hence the 3/4 ton suv. Ford gives volume discounts to the tool to purchase these vehicles.
