looking at a shitty map its gotta be Deathball Rock, Castle Rock or possibly "Thors Hammer". It looked big steep and intimidating. Does any one know about climbing on any of these formations?

no not flagstone this is nothing that ive found in publications but it looked really cool. it had a very steep face ill check a map.

I was driving west on 126 today and about 2 miles east of Blue River I noticed an impressive looking crag on a hilltop south of 126. Any one know what im talking about? I've never noticed this before but it looked big and of quality.

. Also I've heard stories of choss fests on the coast from old school guys.
also within 2 hours of of eugene are the Hills Creek Spires (Sport with a little trad), Moolack Columns(trad), the graden (bouldering)

As of 2/10/06 there was an impassable landslide on FS 566 about 2 miles in from kitson creek road. With the recent publication of this area, I figure there may be a small surge in people wanting to check this area out, so I just wanted to give people a heads up, so no one has to spoil a trip out there. It will probably be a long while untill access is regained, the FS needs to start cutting down a few more trees so they can maintain their roads

There is a breif description of a Castle Rock in the Dodge guide, but I am not sure if its the one on 126. I am thinking that it is the one near the Metolius.
