  1. Doesn't look like they sell these in WA: http://www.liq.wa.gov/services/brandpicklist.asp
  2. Jim Beam is piss water (I'm talking about the white label here).
  3. Tequila Sauza is tasty stuff for mixing...
  4. sometimes you scare me Dechristo... the thought-process is too uncanny
  5. F*** that, it's Castro's favorite drink. Actually, Stalin supposedly loved to drink Kindzmarauli (or was it Khvanchkara?) - a tasty red Georgian wine, semi-sweet, good with lamb shaslik... mmmmm. I'll do a search on WSLCB to see where they sell these various bands in the state...
  6. When you're driving down the highway at night And you're feelin' that wild turkey's bite Don't give Johnny Walker a ride Cause Jack Black is right by your side You might get taken to the jailhouse and find You've been arrested for driving while blind White trash indeed! Mr. Billy Gibbons ain't no po white trash!
  7. MMMM....Scotch, much better then wiskey anyway. Scotch IS whisky.
  8. Well, I've already had a few fifths of Jim Beam... nasty stuff. I'll skip the low-end stuff and start with one of the other suggestions. As for Scotch, well, I've only had the blended stuff. Currently polishing off some Johnnie Walker Black. When it's gone I intend to pick up some good quality, single malt stuff.
  9. I picked up "Black Bush" (Bushmills) on a friend's rec. Very good stuff. I've never tried Jameson's before.
  10. Yes, there are different qualities of several of the whiskey makers, including "reserve", "10-year old aged", etc. I'm looking for good advice/feedback on any of these. Typically I'm wary of name brands because they pay a lot for advertising and are mass produced and might not be as good as lesser-known stuff.
  11. That's an idea... I did buy some Irish whiskey recently - similar to Scotch but sweeter with a less earthy taste. Someone else recommended trying a Canadian whiskey as well. Maybe I'll need a bottle of each (Bourbon, Canadian whiskey). I'll need it for when the relatives visit over the holidays.

    Bourbon

I finished off a fifth of JD yesterday (not all in one sitting ) and am looking to buy some good bourbon in its place (JD is Tennessee whiskey). Any recommendations out there? I want something smooth that you can drink straight but not so expensive it will break the bank, and you will not feel bad about mixing - say in a Manhattan. The only bourbon's I've ever drank before are cheap stuff like Jim Bean (retch, too harsh). I think I've downed Wild Turkey shots at some point too...
  14. while your inane posts to this forum, OTOH, are "interesting"?
  15. ...suck ass. WTF???? another wasted few hours last night watching those ass clowns. fortunately my power went out in the fourth quarter and forced me to do something else
  16. and lawyers are behind the scenes "plying their trade"
  17. I agree wholeheartedly. so do I. but lawyers are one or two rungs lower.
  18. you are
  19. This is all much ado about nothing. Another symptom of the pathetic "news" media in a slow-news cycle.
  20. That's what YOU'RE here for. And then you die, right Mr. Atheist? And as usual YOU miss the point. If you will summarily dismiss the charitable contributions of "conservatives" because they often go to Churches and religious charities, then, in all fairness, one must look into the charities to which "liberals" donate their money. Let's do a full and complete analysis of exactly where these monies go. Of course there is an implicit implication in this argument from you naysayers of this report that "liberals" don't donate to Churches or religious charities, which is bullshit too. Of course they do. But the secular atheists on this list only reveal their own anti-religious lifestyle and biases in pointing out the "religion-based" charitable contributions of "Conservatives".
  21. And you refute facts that are, um, "inconvenient" to your world view. Speaking of categorization of charity, let's exclude contributions to art museums, ballets, symphonies, and the like - all favorite places for rich liberals to dump their cash.
  22. Hot Carl goes on lots of expensive, international trips, impresses the local sluts with his wit, while he plies them with booze and bangs 'em in between trips to the backcountry. It's very impressive.
  23. Why do you swallow?
