  1. Ha. And car drivers are always so good about stopping for ped's at crosswalks. In that dumb "news" story clip, there's like three cars that don't yield for the reporter before one cyclist goes by. But cyclists ARE OUT OF CONTROL. In Kirkland somany pedestrians get hit by cars a year, that many intersections have bright orange flags on each side of the road for peds to grab and hold high when crossing so dumbass drivers might see them better.
  2. I usually drive when I am in Seattle and I find the majority of cyclists there to be just fine, FW
  3. A cheaper alternative. Like the Walmart Pup Tent, it's functionally equivalent.
  4. is one of the new Mountie 10 essentials...
  5. you fit in perfectly to spray
  6. the problem is that you and FW seem to think that Obama deserves the same level of scorn as GW, which is just insane. Certainly there is tit-for-tat in politics but accusing both sides of being the same is just madness. The democrats have never used a government shutdown to get their way, for isntance -- not even during the darkest days of the bush administration. Obama is not doing "the same things" that Bush did -- not by a long shot. Typical.
  7. stagflation malaise yes yes we all know the symptoms. are you implying he was the cause? seemingly fairweather was. Honestly it's all ancient history now. Our problems today seem big enough to warrant more attention than the US economy in 1977.
  8. Agreed. I disapprove of the latest shutdown not only because it is the wrong way to proceed/behave, but because it sets up a tit-for-tat where the Dems will just do the same back when the tables are turned. I should say more accurately that it *continues* a partisan tit-for-tat. This pattern is not going to end anytime soon.

  10. your guy should fix it, especially after all the whining your side did during GW's years in office. he hasn't, and you are silent. sorry, but your complaints now are just crocodile tears First of all, Obama is not "my guy" -- have I ever said he was? I'm certainly not a democrat. But, regarding being silent -- I can't speak for most democrats, but most liberals are furious at his domestic surveillance and drone programs. At least, I am, and so are most of the liberals I know. We certainly don't consider Obama to be "our guy" -- and I think most of his base is similarly disappointed in him. Just because you think things doesn't make them true. It amuses me that you and FW can't seem to have an honest critique of both presidents, but instead have to pick "sides." Defending Bush is a pretty hard sell, so I have to give you guys credit for sticking with it. Good luck! Randomly read political posts from Spray 6-8 years ago. Look at the volume and hysteria of the anti-Bush "outrage". You may find you posted some of those posts yourself. And now? For those same issues now that Barry is running the show. That's right, crickets. That's the point.

  12. that was the synopsis

  14. But if he snorted coke at the Muir Hut he'd be cool.

  16. I think we overuse the word "lie". That applies to Barry, Bush, and Bubba by their detractors one and all.
  17. Mission Accomplished? :-)
  18. interesting notion. i can certainly see someone having this opinion. did you ever see the need for censure during the bush presidency? And so the wheel turns. Ever since Nixon... investigate, revile, mock, impeach, bitch endlessly. Let's just fix what's broken as we can (the web site, people's canceled policies) and move on. If Barry-care ends up being a lot more expensive for voters, to the extent it is unacceptable, than they can vote a change in a few years and try to roll the shit back. Until then, give the "smart voters" what they asked for. :-)
  19. Yes. Turns out they prefer a curious combination of Jimmy Carter (economic incompetence), Woodrow Wilson (arrogance and intoxication with power), and Richard Nixon (lies, paranoia). I mean, if you don't believe me, ask TTK. He said it himself!
  20. Voters are smart. They knew what they would be getting. :-)
  21. Dude, did you read any of my posts? at all? he should read about DDT, actually... LOL
  22. This is going to get pretty crazy including murder plots. Murder plots? Hmmm
  23. Nailed it. You could substitute any other name for "Monsanto", and the issue would still be the same. And, unfortunately, your misguided argument would still be the same. At least he has an argument. Posing endless questions is not an argument.
  24. Time to stock up on Bailey's
  25. Sounds like maybe you're a little too emotionally invested in this thing? What does that mean? Remember, I'm the one asking the questions around here. Fearing the worst. LOL. Chicken Little!!!
